TOOL Confirmed For Denmark's ROSKILDE FESTIVAL - Jan. 25, 2006
TOOL are one of the first three acts to be confirmed for this year's Roskilde Festival, set to take place June 29 – July 2 in Roskilde, Denmark. Also scheduled to appear are FRANZ FERDINAND and KANYE WEST. More acts will be announced soon.

It was previously reported by Norwegian national TV channel TV2 that TOOL will play Norway's Quart festival in early July. Both the Roskilde and Quart performances are likely to be part of a European festival tour in the summer.

TOOL are currently in the mixing stage on their new album and are reportedly looking at an April or May release for the disc, their first since 2001's "Lateralus". A video directed by guitarist Adam Jones is also said to be in the works, with members of the band preparing to embark on an an international press tour for the new effort. More information will be made available soon.

Goddammit. Bunch of Euro lovers they are. I guess I kinda can't blame them, I mean, look at the US for instance.

Oh and Dave never punched Zakk. I think Zakk could be the shit out of Dave if it came down to it. I like them both.

the website of Roskilde Festival. Why would they tour if they ain't got a new album out? I saw them at Roskilde in 2001. Pretty boring. Prefer their albums. Maynard came out and did a song with the Deftones too

Have you ever been to The Roskilde festival or are you just kiddin'? I mean, Roskilde is the best fuckin' festival in Europe...it own!

I saw Tool last time at the Roskilde Festival and that was amazing, unbelievable! This might be the concert of the year.

Roskilde is way better than Wacken atmosphere-wise. I mean, it has 4 days warm up for just drinking beer and chilling with your friends. Plus, last years lineup at Roskilde was awesome.

This year doesn't look too good though except for Tool, i mean theres Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes and Radiohead. Can't imagine any of those being good live (well FF suck ass live ive seen them).

Radiohead's actually pretty damn good live. Nowhere near as great as some fans and critics would have you believe, but still worth your time and attention.

blessed be.

p.s. Tool/Opeth American tour MUST happen!!!!!!

every year since 94. And I've never seen the problems you talk about. I know it happens, as it does at every festival, but compared to the number of people there (70 000) its a very small problem. Roskilde is very well known for its nice and relaxed atmosphere. And they have had more metal there the last few years than ever before. Not to mention that the danish weed kicks ass!!!

Can't wait for the new album. I hope their shows are a little bit more entertaining this tour. I saw em back in 2001 with Fantomas and while they played great, there wasn't much of a show if you know what I mean. Although I did see them back in 97 and they were fucking amazing.

Those are two bands i thought i never would see put together on the same bill. fuck that im going to Europe! Radiohead are one of the best bands out there today overall. let the bashing of them not being metal begin. Been waiting for new Tool the second i finished listening to Lateralus the first day it came out. With Tool and Radiohead, their sound is always evoloving and each record sounds like a part of one giant work in progress. It really leaves you craving more because you can almost hear the wheels spinning in each band members head with each release. You cant say that about many bands these days. Each of these bands pay such close attention to detail. I dont care how long it takes for a record to come out. At this point, if your a devoted fan, your guaranteed it will be worth the wait.
