New AUDIOSLAVE Album Coming In June

Launch Radio Networks reports: AUDIOSLAVE will release its third album this June, a spokesperson for the band's label has told Launch. An exact release date, title and track listing are not available yet, although it is known that the band began working on new music as early as last summer, with work picking up again shortly after the Christmas and New Year holidays. Although there was a two-and-a-half year gap between the band's self-titled 2002 debut and its 2005 sophomore effort, "Out Of Exile", the new disc will arrive just over a year since "Out Of Exile"'s release last May.
AUDIOSLAVE plans to get back on the road sometime in early 2006, according to recent postings at the band's official web site. Lead singer Chris Cornell has been in the news recently for suing his ex-wife and SOUNDGARDEN manager Susan Silver, claiming she overstepped her professional boundaries and also conspired to keep money and personal property from him.
AUDIOSLAVE's single, "Doesn't Remind Me", has been nominated for a Grammy in the category of Hard Rock Performance.

but it's cool that some bands don't need 3-5 year breaks between every damn album. To release a new album that fast after the last one is pretty rare these days for such a big band.

It's a bit fast compared to the last gap, but on the other hand by all accounts they have good writing chemistry and I'd say they're in the top tier of talent for their style... We were having this discussion about release speeds on another forum and talking about how The Beatles or the Rolling Stones used to release every year or more often, but now some bands end up not getting very well promoted by their label and end up having to go tour their asses off for years to make up for it.

to Soundgarden. Audioslave's first album was great, but it has gone downhill from there. All of Soundgarden's album were great.

I don't know what the fuck is wrong with you Audioslave fans. The singers voice is good for one song, but he has a voice that makes every song sound the same.
MORELLO is the real problem though. I swear, his guitar solos come from dialing in random effects on a shitty multi effects processor and playing random crap. I was listening to the new cd and on one song out of nowhere the guitar solo sounds like a fucking computer. I wish I had the CD with me so I could talk about specific songs, but every song I've had the misfortune of listening to, it was always a horrible guitar solo. HORRIBLE

Susan Silver Cornell's ex wife and sound garden's manager was apparently to blame for the bands split, i don't know exact reasons, but apparently the rest of the band were fed up with her
could be business, who knows now with her out of the way
maybe Chris can get soundgarden back
as far as out of exile, it just sounded predictable I did buy it and only listened to it once

All I could say is on a personal note: Is that I absolutely love this man
and his vocals and I beleive he should be bottled..And passed around
like a fine wine..So the whole world can use yet another one of there
senses on this demi god........Chris.......What a concept........Drink Up..
