It's all shit.... Metalcore is worse than rap/nu-metal, because for the latter there was a consensus among metalheads that it was shit, whereas you have many people who are otherwise into great music listening to metalcore and lumping it in with infinitely superior bands.
Nu metal wasn't metal and neither is metalcore.

i think the best part about this one is how you can tell all these whiners are just getting bitter from midlife crisis. you talk about how the old ball was so great, you are either full of shit or blind. twelve years ago, it was sit through crap like bon jovi, asphalt ballet, junkyard, etc... to see one death video after two hours!!!! call me crazy or a poser or whatever pumps your balls, but i'd much rather see slipknot or it dies today on there than a lot of the shit they used to play. just goes to show how fucking stupid 80% of the metal community really is. you spend YEARS complaining about "bring back the ball" "bring back the ball", and then when they finally do, and its better than ever (as far as the extremity of the music goes), you cry about how it sucks...what the fuck did you think???? they were going to have mercyful fate marathons every week? granted, i'm not the biggest fan of a lot of the bands they play on there, but i'm not so hardheaded and stupid to bash it and say its not metal, just because its not up to MY standards!!! let me break it down for you: they have to play variety on the show. they play mainstream shit, because not only are there people that want to see it, but if they played only fucking nile and corpse the whole time, it would have been canned after the first month!!!! i'm a fan of both of those bands, but i would be bored to tears to see that the whole time. however, i do think that i'm wasting my time in the first place because you know that all the complainers now, were complaining just the same back then (unless they sided with jovi and slaughter). they are just trying to glorify it now, so that they can feel superior to younger metal fans that (the fucking posers) weren't born/old enough to really get into it at the time. please, for once shut the fuck up guys, you got what you wanted. have a nice day.

I like these bands but these songs are old. The last headbangers ball cd's were good because it introduced me to a lot of bands that were up and coming. This album is lacking in delivering us new, cutting edge metal.
Even the live tracks i have...the live killswitch was released by revolver magazine on their website and i have the dvd; LOG released killadelpha dvd and cd both of which i own; I own about ten different live versions of the trooper because every time a bell rings, they release a live album (and i buy it).
Why not give some less popular but good bands exposure like darkest hour or burst. Metal is getting a little too commercial. We wanted all this respect in our community and we're getting it now and all the commercial bullshit that goes with it! Damn it!
