MOTÖRHEAD To Support FOO FIGHTERS At Massive London Gig

MOTÖRHEAD have been confirmed as the support act for the FOO FIGHTERS at their massive gig at Hyde Park in London, according to NME.com.
The band will play the 60,000 capacity venue on June 17, with tickets due to go on sale this Saturday (February 11) at 9:00 a.m. Further supports will be announced in the coming weeks.

...open at msg for dio, maiden... you might argue that lemmy should've been the headliner there, too, but let's face it, as great as he is, his popularity never broke to that level, which is ok... he's an "underground" (if you can still call him that) legend, but it doesn't mean that there are enough people out there who would appreciate his music enough to fill arenas or stadiums on his own... so if anything, it's another paying gig for a great band and you can't fault him for that!

Don't get me wrong, I love motörhead, and I don't really care about Foo Fighters. But come on, it's a 60,000 capacity gig, Motörhead are lucky that Foo Fighters are cool enough to let them open for them. They could easily have picked some young up and coming bullshit band. Sure, in a perfect world Motörhead would have been the headliner here, but that's just the way things are. In a perfect world Entombed would have been a stadium band too... (except the fact that I like to see them in small shitty clubs)

Dave Grohl was loaded and in the mosh pits at the Motorhead Show here in Los Angeles. He was just in with all the other fans. He's a huge motorhead fan and Im sure this is a way of showing mutual respect between both bands. So stop whining!

I think this would be a cool concert. Good for Grohl - 60,000 people will get to experience Motorhead. There's probably a lot of people that never would have except for this. And that is a good thing, in my opinion.

foo fightrs n moterhead should b great. foos may not be the 'hardest' rocking band ever but in ma opinion theyrma favourite band i adore them. they're better than any average run of the mill, meralcore, indie-nme, pop punk, nu-metal band around now a days and thats a Fact. At least they don't pretend to be anything that they r nto which is wot see alot with bands coming out. but at end of day up to ppl wot they think of them no arguments but i think they r great. :)
