HIRAX Announce Return Of Original Drummer JOHN TABARES - Feb. 7, 2006
Los Angeles thrashers HIRAX have announced the return of original drummer John Tabares and addition of guitarist Lance Harrison to the group's ranks. The band are currently in pre-production, writing songs for their upcoming EP, "Assassins of War", tentatively due later in the year. More information will be made available soon.

In November 2005, HIRAX frontman Katon W. De Pena was left as the group's sole remaining member after Glenn Rogers (lead guitars), Angelo Espino (bass), Dave Chedrick (drums) and Dave Watson (lead guitars) announced their departure from the band. As a result of their exit, HIRAX's Japanese tour was cancelled and the band's appearance at this year's Keep It True VI festival was called off.

HIRAX's most recent full-length CD, "New Age of Terror", was issued in May 2004 via Black Devil Records.

I find it amusing that the article says Japan and Keep it True were called off because of those 4 guys leaving, when it was Katon that was unwilling to go to Japan and didn't even bother telling the other guys he wasn't going to go until the day before their departure. Fucking amusing.

I have been out of the metal circuit for 15 years and reunite with old friends like BC, Dumpy, Joe, Johnny and Gary who stayed loyal to old Hirax which was sooo gooood Bombs of Death in the past but come on WEAPON 13 is soo much more professional sorry Johnny but sinned is right Days of Hirax soap opera begins again remember which road you cross. And Katon do you really care about anybody but yourself.

I'm not interested if Dave Chedrick and Dave "Speedemon" Watson aren't involved. You can't replace that kind of talent. I'm down to hear what they come up with on their own.
