Original JUDAS PRIEST Singer To Be Joined By SEVEN WITCHES Guitarist At Mexican Festival

Original JUDAS PRIEST frontman Al Atkins will be joined by SEVEN WITCHES/ex- SAVATAGE axeman Jack Frost during his appearance at "The Voices of Metal" festival, which is scheduled to take place in May or June. Atkins and Frost will be playing songs from Al's new solo album, "Demon Deceiver", plus a couple of SEVEN WITCHES songs. Check out a photo of Atkins and Frost at the NAMM convention in Anaheim, California in January. No further details are available at this time. As previously reported, Atkins has just released a new promotional DVD. Produced by Mpeguk Ltd, the DVD (released on DVD-R) includes music videos of three selected tracks off his new CD, "Demon Deceiver - The Sin Sessions": the title track, "Demon Deceiver", "Cradle to the Grave" and the JUDAS PRIEST classic "Victim of Changes". The musicians include BUDGIE guitarist Simon Lees, DANTE FOX guitarist Mike de Jager, Emms, drummers Mick Hales and Adrian Badlands, and guitarist Chris Johnson. The videos include footage shot during the recording of the tracks at MAGNUM's Madhat Studios, JB's Live Music Venue and during Al's tour of the U.S. Check out sample clips at www.mpeguk.com. Free downloads, including iPod downloads, will be available on the site shortly. Al has recorded "Victim of Changes" three times on different albums over the last 15 years since he turned solo. "This time it's a much shorter and faster version than before. It's fucking awesome," Atkins said. Also appearing on the album is a song called "Drown", which is said to be a duet between Al and Kansas-based vocalist/guitarist Johnny Lokke.

Al Atkins doesn't make CDs. We have to choose between wax cylinders or 8-Track cartridges.

I just watched the video of "victim of changes" you gotta be kidding
me !!! That is the worst version I've ever heard! Even Halford when
he is sick with flu sounds better then that and they totally ruin the
song anyway.
Doesnt he have a creative bone in his body? Has nothing stirred since the early 70's? Calling your album "Demon Deciever" (for those that dont know dreamer deciever is track off Priest's classic Sad Wings of Destiny) is not clever or cool or anything but sad what is the name of his next album "Brainkiller??" LOL!!!!

I couldn't even make it through that entire video clip... after about 30 seconds my brain was screaming "PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!" I've heard local bar bands do better versions of "Victim of Changes."
The only thing sadder than Al Atkins...is anybody who willingly pays for this DVD

Its funny how Jack gets a hard time from so many sad people who obviously are not leading as productive of a life as he is. How many of you can say you have played some of the biggest festivals in Europe with Savatage and shared the same stage with Jon Oliva? Played with DD Verni in Bronx Casket, as well as six band and two solo albums?

It's easy to put out a bunch of albums when the songs sound like they were written in a day. I wouldn't call that productive. Ever heard of quality over quantity? Just because a person puts out record after record of garbage on independent labels doesn't make them a success. Not everyone is willing to settle for medicore careers. Some of us actually seek more in life than playing to half filled clubs in New Jersey. If you really want to help your idol recommend him a good guitar teacher.
