THE BLACK CROWES' CHRIS And RICH ROBINSON Slated For First-Ever Acoustic Shows
- Feb. 13, 2006

|
Chris and Rich Robinson of THE BLACK CROWES are heading out on the road as a duo for a special run of multiple-night acoustic shows.
Pete Angelus, manager of THE BLACK CROWES, confirmed today that Chris and Rich will be performing a collection of their catalogue, influential covers as well as new material. Billed as "Brothers Of A Feather: An Acoustic Evening With Chris & Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes", all shows will be in a very intimate setting and will be recorded for a possible acoustic release at some point in the future.
Although THE BLACK CROWES have performed a few acoustic numbers in their electric sets in the past, this will be the first time the infamous brothers have ever performed full-length acoustic sets in their 16-year career.
For this first-time-ever run, only four markets across the country are confirmed.
Confirmed tour dates and ticket information is as follows:
Apr. 13 - Brooklyn, NY - Warsaw Apr. 14 - New York, NY - Rose Theater @ Jazz at Lincoln Center Apr. 15 - New York, NY - Town Hall Apr. 17 - Austin, TX - Cactus Café ** Apr. 18 - Austin, TX - Cactus Café ** Apr. 20 - San Francisco, CA - Swedish American Hall @ Café Du Nord Apr. 21 - San Francisco, CA - The Fillmore Apr. 22 - San Francisco, CA - Bimbo’s 365 Club Apr. 24 - Los Angeles, CA - The Roxy Apr. 25 - Los Angeles, CA - The Roxy
** denotes two shows per night, 7:00 and 10:00 p.m.

Well, considering the markets, my guess is that they will sell out all the shows listed above.
If your into them, then this is your Waterloo!

Then go fuck yourself. You're probably some superficial "metalhead" who doesn't actually know anytning about music. The Black Crowes are a true Rock 'n' Roll band and have more balls and attitude than most bands around today. Any band who can successfully pull off a good acoustic set is damn good in my book. Most of today's bands couldn't even come close to doing an acoustic set justice.

why does every band on the planet think need to do an acoustic tour cd? look it's nice you got back together now how about a cd of new black crowes music, not a live or acoustic or acoustic live but the kind of music that made you famous in the first place? oterwise what is the point of a reunion?

I've got the Black Crowes live CD in my computer right now. The only problem with acoustic shows is that they'll put you to sleep if the band isn't completely awesome with a catalogue full of great songs.
Therefore, the Robinson's won't have any problem rocking the crowd. I just wish they'd play a set in front of the home crowd in Atlanta!

First of all, I am a huge Crowes fan. Second of all, I am a huge metal fan. Third, I can only believe that the operators of this site are fans of the band. It really is the only explanation for them posting stuff about them.
I will be hittin' all three of the NY shows. I went to 13 of their shows last year and 1 this year w/ 2 more coming up in March.....all the shows were packed.
Some folks need to get a clue and realize that there is actually a lot more out there than metal. There are just too many people talkin' out their ass.
