IRON MAIDEN: 'Death On The Road' DVD U.S. Release Delayed, Theater Screenings Postponed

Sanctuary Records/Sony BMG has been forced to delay the release of IRON MAIDEN's "Death On The Road" DVD, scheduled for February 21, as a result of unforeseen production issues. Therefore, the U.S. premiere theater screenings through D&E Entertainment have been postponed as well. The rescheduled screenings and new release date will be announced soon. A more formal statement will follow.
The three-disc package contains the full performance of IRON MAIDEN's "Dance of Death Tour", filmed in December 2003 at the Westenfalenhalle Arena, Dortmund. The special features disc contains an exclusive documentary directed by Matthew Amos, who also directed the band's award-winning "Early Days" documentary. It's an insight into the production of the "Dance of Death" album from its writing and recording through to the detail in what it takes to get a massive show like MAIDEN on the road.

Iron Maiden is a force of nature! they are simply the best...too many DVD releases though! what's with all those live albums and a new DVD every 6 months? come on boys! stop milking that cow! its breast are getting dry already!

How long do they possibly expect us to wait.....is it to the point when we are uninterested to buy their product?
This dvd was meant to be released late August last year. Now due to more production error it'll take another few months.

For the love of pete, just fuckin release it already. Why does the US always get screwed on hese releases? It's always 2-3 months after it's out, that we get it. Once we get a set date, it gets postponed AGAIN!
I love Maiden, but they need to get this shit straightend out. Everything is ALWAYS delayed with them. The excuse that it will be worth the wait, or "We want everything top notch," is getting old. Quit trying to refine every little thing, and just RELEASE IT!!!

The record store where I work at just got these in stock today for release on Tuesday... Weird. Too bad looks to be shit.
3 DVD set, but 2 of the DVDs are the same thing but with diff. audio formats. Whatever. Hail Satan.

i would rather see more old maiden footage from 79 to 88 then the newer stuff . theres nothing wrong with the newer maiden stuff but it seems like every time i turn around to take a piss they are putting another new dvd out the best they have done so far is the early years, im waiting for the 84 to 88 era to come out.

OK, this isn't about lack of demand or making up reasons for delays.
The simple fact is that there are THOUSANDS of people in the UK and Europe who have bought this DVD and there is a fault with one of the discs. The reason for this fault has not yet been identified and therefore some people are having problems getting refunds and/or exchanging it for a working DVD.
You should actually be thankful that it's been delayed in the US as it means you will not be sold something with a fault that nobody can find a reason for and has yet to be rectified.

the hint is it's in central jersey and even available for mail order via the 'net. can say no more. sorry to say it is indeed defective - the 'play all' feature works for awhile, but then starts kicking back to the 'song selection' menu after some tracks - so you're stuck hitting enter alot. sucks, yes, but still am glad i got it - the documentary is good and the sound is great.

Stop complaining that they keep releasing DVDs and stuff. Just because they release it doesn't mean you have to buy it. My copy works fine and it's a great dvd. Personally I'd rather they had one of every tour then for no tour at all. At least then you have the option.
