BLACK SABBATH: 'Greatest Hits 1970–1978' Cover Artwork Posted Online

The cover artwork for BLACK SABBATH's upcoming "best of" collection, entitled "Greatest Hits 1970–1978", has been posted online at this location. Due on March 14 from Rhino, the CD was executive produced by Sharon Osbourne and contains 16 monster hits from the original BLACK SABBATH, with over 80 minutes of remastered musical mayhem. Liner notes were written by BLABBERMOUTH.NET contributor and esteemed metal journalist Don "Fang" Kaye. "Greatest Hits 1970–1978" track listing: 01. Black Sabbath02. N.I.B.03. The Wizard04. Dirty WomenAs previously reported, BLACK SABBATH will finally be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month. The 21st annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on March 13 in New York at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Artists are eligible to be inducted into the Rock Hall after at least 25 years have passed since their first record was released.

Too much emphasis on the first two albums.
Changes is the worst song on Volume 3.
Only ONE song off of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
Only ONE song off of Sabotage.
Who the hell needs this anyway?

The REAL Sabbath! don't get me wrong the Ozzy stuff, is great, but it's not the DIO ERA! HH is probably the Best Sabbath album! Borna Again is good and the Tony Martin stuff has it's moments, BUT DIO is and ALWAYS will be the MAN!

The ONLY GH of BS that ever needs to be purchased.
Just buy the fucking catalog, it's only 8-9 discs and you have ALL the hits not just the Greatest.
On this GH, dump the last 3 tracks and replace it with Planet Caravan.

This was the first Black Sabbath best of album I listened to. It was released in the early to mid 80's or so. The track list is the same (pretty much). Good introduction for a 13 year old.

get rid of NIB paranoid, wizard, changes. Paranoid one of the worst songs they ever recorded. Fuck off to it. Add the following - spiral architect, killing yourself to live, symptom, back street kids, johny blade, junior's eyes.
But boys, if you can't be bothered writing any new material, then no more GH albums.
and to posters, the bashing of Sharon is incredibly uninteresting by now. After the 3000th post, it becomes very unfunny.
finally, a trivia question - has any "best of' "album inn the entire history of music ever contained the actual best songs of the band featured? Answer - no, whoever picks the songs always gets it wrong. 1960 - 2006, best of albums: 30 million; best of albums that actually contain best songs, nil.

I love Sabbath so so much and this is the reason that this 'best of' is just a half effort..........16 tracks to some up 8 years of consitantly great music is just not enough!! where's 'Gypsy' or 'Symtomn of the universe'?? Also I hate these best of's which dont have the later ozzy era album tracks on, I like the latter albums more I find!!!

but what the sabbath fans really want, besides another useless greatest hits package, is the 1969 dumfries show to be released.
how about the don kirchner 75 show on dvd?
it is common fact that iommi taped many of the bands shows in the day so he could review his performance--mr iommi, there has to be some quality gems in that massive tape hoard of yours!
as far as rock n roll doctor, that is by far the worst ozzy sung sabbath song..ever!

Waste of money with the other packages and the box set. Only redeeming factor is the Don Kaye intro, which are always good - but hardly worth the price of a cd.
