AC/DC: More Of BON SCOTT's Personal Items To Be Auctioned Off - Feb. 23, 2006
The upcoming autumn Joel's Catalogue Auction will feature some very important and unique 1970s rock 'n' roll items concerning Bon Scott, the late frontman of iconic and world-renowned Australian rock band AC/DC.

Since their debut in late 1973, AC/DC has sold over 90 million albums world wide, placing them in the top five highest-selling rock groups in American history, signifying the extent of their international popularity and acclaim.

Bon Scott fronted the band from 1974 until his death in 1980, when AC/DC was at its peak of fame and popularity, and Bon has since then been forever remembered as one of the most charismatic and legendary front men of all time.

The items up for auction have been provided by Bon Scott's ex-wife, Irene, and are from a collection of extremely intimate and personal effects. These include Bon's shaving mirror, in a black vinyl zip case bearing his name, a photo album with approximately 75 black-and-white and color photographs, including wedding and family shots of Bon and Irene, and a collection of cards and letters written by Bon containing personal thoughts and emotions during the final years of his life. Another very special item up for auction is a 1974 AC/DC vinyl test pressing of "High Voltage" with the original first track being "Jailbreak", not "Little Lover", which was released on the 1975 "Dirty Deeds" album.

Man, selling her wedding photos?!?! That is just fucking low. If you really need cash, sell something lame like Bon's vegetable peeler or a pair of smelly socks, or better yet get a job- I can't imagine ever selling my wedding photos.

I think someone called it right when they said this is "grave robbing." Let's just honor his memory and music...not try to cash in on a dead person! Pathetic!

COMMENT | I can't wait to see how much the "High Voltage" test pressing goes for!

If a cassette can sell for $9,000 & 2 bootlegs (double picture discs & an orange vinyl pressing of "Bon Scott's Last Oui Oui") that I sold on ebay for $1,000 & $1,250 then this should break $20,000 with ease!

It is wrong to sell a legendary musician's stuff unless of course if its for hall of fame or something but this is completly wrong and that bitch shouldnt have the right to sell his shit like that.. plus its getting rediculous.

First of all, Dark Army there is 2 versions of high voltage.
Ver 1: was released in 1974 and was only released in Australia
Ver 2: was released in 1976 (I believe) which was the worldwide release. "Its a long way to the top" was released on the "TNT" album in Australia.

Anyway the stuff to be auctioned is Irene's property so thats her business. If you google you might find out her reasons why she is selling this stuff. One reason is she says she is getting old and wants to make sure this stuff gets looked after otherwise once she goes she has no control over it!!!
