The New York Post is reporting that Jon Bon Jovi is disgusted rock rival Axl Rose receives more media attention than he does, because the elusive GUNS N' ROSES frontman "hasn't made a record in 13 years." Jon can't seem to get over the fact that the press will always be more fascinated with the bad-boy legacy of GNR than they are with the comparatively bland BON JOVI, according to the Post. He fumes, "You know what pisses me off? I was reading this British rock magazine this month and there was a story about Axl Rose and the $13 million GUNS N' ROSES record that was never made. That motherfucker hasn't made a record in 13 years and he gets all that attention. You know what I've done in 13 years? A lot. But they have continued to write about the freak show aspect of him. Because he's a recluse. That makes him interesting, right?"

I can understand where Jon Bon Jovi is coming from, but the fact of the matter is that the songs that we have heard from Chinese Democracy are better than anything Bon Jovi has put out in the last 13 years anyway. It could have been much easier for Axl to go, "fuck it, this thing is never going to work with new band members so I'll pack it in", and for that, Axl deserves recognition for hanging in there for 13 years to get this shit done.

Appetite For Destruction is one of the best albums ever, but Axl is one of the biggest jerkoff's ever...I would not mind axl and jon crashing in a helicopter together and get rid of both at the same time. Jon Bon Jovi and Axl Rose really need each other at this point. Namely in that Jon could push Axl to spend less than 13 years in writing an album whereas Axl could help Jon with writing powerful music again without having to rely so much on ballads.
That said, I don't blame Jon for being envious over the amount of publicity Axl's been getting for being a hermit over the past decade. Unfortunately, "Have A Nice Day" was a yawnfest. May Frankie DiVita hunt me down and castrate me for that comment but it's the truth.

The headline had be think Jon wanted to trade in his thick hair for the bandana that hides Axl's botched hair transplant. Bon Jovi are still what they were 20 years ago - the kings of pop metal - not my favorite genre but they are good at what they do. GNR is the most overrated band to ever make it big. It don't even consider them metal - hard/sleaze rock.

So the author says BJ hates the "bad-boy legacy of GNR" and that's just full of shit. Well, GNR might have been a great band zillons of years ago but Axl was an ass and still is, if that what he means by "bad-boy".
Axl's "bad-boy I'm an asshole" behaviour and that spaghetti disaster were perhaps the main reasons of the GNR downfall and it will happen again, nobody (band members, fans) stands a guy like that for too long.
Bon Jovi had its bad moments (i.e. Bounce record) but they've been there all along making records, touring and doing their job... They are a great band still to this day with almost all of its original members with the exception of bassist Alec Jon Such.
Watching Axl Rose dancing with that new band is kinda funny, I think the whole "bad-boy" thing is now a good joke.
Last, GNR is no GNR without AT LEAST Slash, this is just an Axl solo flick.... First get Slash back and then we talk.
