LED ZEPPELIN's Classic 'The Song Remains The Same' Movie To Air On FUSE TV Tomorrow - Mar. 6, 2006
Fuse TV has decided to school all the young rock converts with a month-long series of the best rock films on Earth. First up, of course, is LED ZEPPELIN's one and only classic "The Song Remains the Same", airing Tuesday, March 7 at 9:00 p.m.

Filmed in 1973 at Madison Square Garden in New York, "The Song Remains the Same" includes performances of classic ZEP tunes such as "Rock n' Roll" and "Dazed and Confused". Not only that, but the flick includes short films of the individual band members, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham, acting out fantasies, be it in a medievel Welsh hillscape or a drag race locale. It's pretty nuts, and it's a classic.

Led Zeppelin are great and this is a good movie but it's not better than Pink Floyd's The Wall.

Maybe your right, musically "TSRTS" is probably better. However, I think as a concept and a movie The Wall has the edge...Just my opinion.

Song Remains The Same is a TERRIBLE concert movie! Zep rules, but you'd never know from watching this video. Jimmy Page's guitar is too low in the mix, they miss a lot of their best songs instead opting for weaker ones (The Rain Song instead of Over The Hills?), Robert Plant's voice sounds somewhat off through the whole thing, and NO COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN!!! Plus, they insist on cutting away to cheesily produced, self-indulgent clips that include Robert Plant as King Arthur, and John Bonham as a gangster with a tommy-gun. WTF?
How The West Was Won pwns it by far.

of the new DVD being better than The Song I couldn't wait to see it. The new on shows material from as early as 1969 to their knebworth show in 1979, but I think the 1973 Madison Square gardens gig is surely Zep in their prime.

it was part of the magic zep had..
the rain song shows how jimmy
was a master on acoustic
i wish they would have made
another film just before in through
the out door, so they could cover
my two fav albums, physical and
presence.

I think that the studio albums are enough. It' s all there anyway, on the studio albums. Live, they just didn' t know how to stop a song, and I suppose you should be heavily stoned to really appreciate that, songs that just go on and on and on ...

I am sorry, I love Zepplin but Fuse seams to be becoming more like MTV and VH1 showing movies and tv shows. Did anyone notice they took of nearly all of the metal shows recently?
