LINKIN PARK Join METALLICA As Co-Headliners Of Japan's SUMMER SONIC Festival

LINKIN PARK have joined METALLICA as the co-headliners of Japan's Summer Sonic festival, set to be held August 12 and August 13 in Tokyo and Osaka, respectively. Also scheduled to appear are AVENGED SEVENFOLD, STONE SOUR, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and 10 YEARS, among others. For more information, visit www.summersonic.com. LINKIN PARK announced last month that the band will record their third studio album with Rick Rubin, the world-famous producer known for his work with SYSTEM OF A DOWN, SLIPKNOT and the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, among many others. LINKIN PARK are currently writing and demoing material for their new effort, the band's first full-length studio project since 2003's "Meteora". Mike Shinoda is currently on the road with his side hip-hop project, FORT MINOR. Although Chester Bennington had announced plans earlier this year to work on his first solo album, the vocalist told MTV.com that he has delayed that project until 2007 or later to work on the new LINKIN PARK disc.

Think about it peopel. If Linkin Park goes with them then there will be more money more people there and they are more then likely going to walk away with mroe fans at the end of the night. I mean come on how many of you have listend to a band then seen them play with another band and thought hey I like them as well. There is more to the story then what all you read on line your not in the band members head. There could be many of reasons for them to even have Linkin Park play with them. But my money is on that they are trying to take some LP fans for there own. And you know as well as I do that they will......
