CHEAP TRICK To Release New Album In June; Audio Preview Available

CHEAP TRICK have announced via their official web site that they will be releasing their new album, "Rockford" (named after their hometown in Illinois), on June 6. The album's first single, "Perfect Stranger", is going for radio adds this week. Check out samples from the forthcoming CHEAP TRICK album in streaming audio: "Perfect Stranger" ( audio) "Welcome to the World" ( audio) "Come On, Come On" ( audio) CHEAP TRICK are currently on the road with AEROSMITH. The group's next performance is scheduled for Wednesday, March 15 at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

They've written some incredibly catchy stuff and do give a great live show, new tracks sound really fresh and a fuck-sight better than the pop-rock we get in the charts now.

Easily one of my favorite bands ever...and a great live outfit.
The Sony Legacy remasters (w/ bonus tracks) of DREAM POLICE and ALL SHOOK UP come out this month too.

I've seen hundreds of live bands in my life, and I can tell you that Cheap Trick and King's X are the 2 greatest live bands I have ever seen.
Cheap Trick sound as good live as they did back in the budokan days, I shit you not.....

and for almost 30 years, they still tour non stop.
personal favorite was the first record, then
heaven tonight, dream police, the cheap trick
s/t release in 97, and every record, there is
something great.
as great as rick, bun e. and tom are...
don't forget
"my favorite singer in the whole wide world,
Robin Zander" (said by Rick at numerous
shows)

for putting up a news story about Cheap Trick! I'll be seeing them headline a week from Friday in the Twin Cities and everyone is right...amazing, amazing band...always great live...one of the best bands EVER

To quote Rick Nielson.
Cheap Trick are amazing. As everyone else has said, they are one of the most amazing live bands out there bar none. I've seen them a dozen times and they've never had an off night. Even when they are opening for somebody like Aerosmith, when most of the audience is made up of teenage girls or aging cougers, they still manage to win over the crowd. Even upstaging the headliners on many a night. My suggestion is to see them headlining, when many people in the audience are big fans. Favourite Trick tunes are Hello There, Downed, California Man, Elo Kiddies, Surrender and Auf Wiedersehen. Do yourself a favour and pick up the first 5 albums if you don't already have them. They are essential Rock N' Roll listening!!!

Thanks to Cheap Trick, The BEST and Hardest working band out there. I'm sure this will be another Great album. We can't wait to see them!
