FLOTSAM AND JETSAM To Embark On European Tour In November - Mar. 27, 2006
FLOTSAM AND JETSAM drummer Craig Nielsen has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"We have just been offered, and have accepted, a November tour over two weeks in Europe that will include Moscow and a St. Petersberg, Russia show, along with London, Rome and other major capital dates, including a co-headline play on the German Keep It True festival. The band has never been to Russia, and not to London in a very long time, and we are extremely happy with the itinerary. Also, the more I see how the June, German Bang Your Head festival is developing, it is my opinion that it is by far the best festival in Europe this year. . . We are also playing the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, two shows over Memorial Day weekend, late May, for what's being called the Clubbers Ball Expo, a first-of-its-kind event. There will be some major headliners there that will be confirmed very soon. Besides musical performances, there will also be a huge trade show for all things underground, and some mainstream."

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's "Live In Japan" DVD was released last month via Crash Music, Inc. The disc was filmed over three shows in Japan in January of 2004.

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's latest album, "Dreams of Death", is available now on Crash Music, Inc. The CD was engineered by Tom Giatron and produced by FLOTSAM AND JETSAM and Tom Giatron at Genesis Studios in Phoenix. Travis Smith did the cover art.

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM was formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1984 by bassist Jason Newsted, who eventually left the band to join METALLICA. The group currently consists of Eric A.K. (vocals), Craig Nielsen (drums), Jason Ward (bass), Mark Simpson (guitar) and Ed Carlson (guitar).

I was hangin-out, in front of the venue, with the drummer and one of his buds. I didn't know it until his friend told me, after Mr. Craig Nielsen had disappeared backstage. They were 'both' trying to keep themselves from laughing while I raved, out LOUD, to Rude Dawg, about how much I LOVE FLOTSAM & JETSAM! Oh, well, I wouldn't be me if I didn't behave like me. :)

COMMENT | Yes, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM are a great band...

the new capital of the UK is Bristol, meaning F&J should play there now and not London...

Tried listening to the post-Newstead F.A.J. several times and it just doesn't click for me. Old stuff had that up front melodic bass to it.

Hey, Mustaine...when you retire or go solo, can I hijack your band name and make some $? "Flotsam & Jetsam" is basically boat trash...'nuff said.
