EVANESCENCE To Finish Mixing New Album Next Week

EVANESCENCE frontwoman Amy Lee has posted the following message on the EVANESCENCE message board EVBoard.com: " Terry [ Balsamo, EVANESCENCE/ex- COLD guitarist] and I are sitting here in the control room at the studio — we'll be done mixing [the new album] next week! I can hardly believe it, we've been working on this album for so long. The stuff sounds so good... Wow, what a trip this has been. "I just wanted to say hi, check in with you and let you know that Terry is doing really well [after suffering a stroke in November] (he is downloading PANTERA ringtones right now and trying to get one of us to call him), [producer Dave] Fortman is ruling it (in deep thought at the mixing board) and I am trying to figure out the order of the songs for the album. It's going to be hard to hold this music in all summer. Haha! " Terry just said to thanks for all you guys' support, and all the kind words. I really want to thank you guys again for being so patient — I know it's gonna be worth it. Hang in there! Ill keep you guys posted." Lee sued her former manager, Dennis Rider of Rider Management, in early December for breach of fiduciary duty, professional negligence, conversion, sexual assault and battery, and other claims. Rider had previously filed a lawsuit against Lee over alleged unpaid commissions. Under the agreement, Rider Management was entitled to 20 percent of gross earnings. He is asking for a minimum of $10 million. EVANESCENCE's major-label debut, "Fallen", has sold 6.44 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Glad to hear Terry is doing well after the stroke. He's a good song writer, looking forward to see what these collaborations with Amy produce. I think they waited a bit long to get this out though, should have struck while the iron was hot.
Er, uh, I mean Evanescene sucks! Everybody sucks! Everything sucks!!!

I'm betting that this one will be better then the first one. I am looking foward to hearing what they have written as a band effort. Most of the guys in that band have been in some great groups. Rocky was in Living Sacrifice and Soul Embraced while Terry was in Cold. Mix it up with Amy and you have a winning combo.
Now all they neeed to do to is wear corpse paint and sing about decaptitating corpses..right? Then they'll be Troo Meatllllll !!!!

Been waiting for the follow up for quite a bit. Well HIM is big (sadly), Lacuna Coil is going to gte big (hell yeah!), and Evanescence is coming out with a new album (pretty cool). I wonder if the whole goth thing will become big. I don't mind goth at all, and let's be honest...somthing needs to take out the current emo trend.

I for one, realy like Evanescence, and yeah, Amy is fucking hot!
Well, you probably think I'm this little teenager without any taste in music what-so-ever, but hey, the only people or bands you'll piss on by that thought, will be Metallica, Trivium, Machine Head, RATM, Judas Priest, Tool, Marilyn Manson, and more down to earth bands like Led Zeppelin, Audioslave and many more. (I'm getting so many comments for this! I KNOW!).
Okay, some of the songs on Fallen were, an still are a bit girlish, but I'm hooked, and don't give a shit about what some of you are going to call, trust me, I've heard it ALL before. So bring it fucking on!

Firstly, I'm very excited about this new album, it's been a long wait, and I'm sure it's going to be worth it. With the new sound from Terry, it's going to be very interesting.
Now, the person (not bothering to go look at your name) who said that those of us who defend bands we like are bringing this down, that is the stupidest comment I've heard, you think you have a right to slag them, then we have a right to defend them. since when was slagging off a band, good rep ? hm, think about that one before you try and post a worthy comment.
As for the 'Evanescence are a Lacuna Coil rip off' get over it... When Ev went to make fallen, they'd never even heard of Lacuna Coil, and in an interview, Cristina Scabbia said, she thought their musics were similar, but also very different, and she had no problem with the music, so why the hell do you ?
Oh and please, what does it matter if Amy is pretty, or ugly, fat or thin ? Why the hell does that make a difference to anything ?! Not giving a band a chance because of what you think of the lead singer is pathetic, immature and down right stupid, and you seriously need to grow the fuck up.
As for the comment about the delay, why don't you try researching before you press the keys ? Ben Moody left, and Amy had written with him since the start, and suddenly, she had to try write with someone new, you think that must have been easy ? There was the trouble with Rider, Terry's stroke, and many other things, so quit your complaining, you can't expect them to drop everything just so you don't have to wait, grow up.
Now I will defend this band as much as I have to, because I have had enough of this shit, you can bring on what you want to me, insult me, or whatever, because, it's been done on this site before, and it means nothing to me, but grow up, and stop spending your time, posting on news stories, about bands you don't even like !

You guys are all a bunch of friggin' morons. Ev rules. They put piano and strings ahere they belong. Something that really wasn't done since Metallica's S&M. (that stands for Symphony and Metal kids). Good music dosen't follow the pattern of everything else, listen to MTV all day, and you'll here 24 hours of future one hit wonders (if there was music on MTV anymore). Right now you children like punk, and pop, we did too when we were your age. But then our testes dropped and we needed deeper music. Some of us heve to look back as far as th 1960's for true music. Some of us have to write our own music. But good music stands the test of time. I mean seriously, Fountains of Wayne? They had a number one hit because you 12 year olds like happy music. Analyze your life (that means think about it). Is everything that matters about love, or sex. So I beseach therefore brethren, listen to bands such as Evanesence, Linkin Park, Staind, Godsmack. And if there ever comes a time when the strength of those bands should not suffice to your woes, look further back to bands such as Pink Floyd and Metallica. And never be shy of unheard bands, like Dreamtheater. And don't feel ashamed of any music, even if you're the only one who likes it.
In conclusion.......you didn't read the whole text did you?
Ev rules, and even if this album sucks, they will be rock legends for years to come.

Like the Axl Rose Band.
BUT even a bad Amy Lee album will sound better than the new Lacuna Coil album where she barely sings and I can't even hear her in the mix when she does and oh yeah.......the songs mostly

If it was the axel rose band, why would there be a velvet revolver? Amy Lee's great, but without the rest of the band the old album would've been bad. But it seems that you are of the dumb opinion that it was. If you have such taste in music, try writing somthing as original as fallen.
JJJB is a creative enough name, write some poetry on par with that of the album Fallen. DO IT I"D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY!
If I think it's sufficiant enough to be legit song lyrics, I'll eat my words.
