The show hasn't been that great lately, maybe great camera work or mixing can save it.

He's never afraid to try unusual setlist just to floor us. He also dares singing the newer songs. His dvds never disapoint.

He is Alice. Bow down.

"Hey, the guy is retired and living life like a king so who gives a shit what I say!?"

Huh???? When did he "retire?"

And Madeinquebec =
His setlist has been pretty much the same and unimaginative for a few years now. The shows went stripped down, same songs over and over with very few rarities, and only played 2 and 1/2 songs off his last album that he was SUPPOSEDLY in support of.

Which is stupid...

03. Dirty Diamonds
08. Woman of Mass Destruction
10. Between High School and The Old School
11. What Do You Want From Me?
15. Gimme

I count 5 songs off of his post-2000 albums.

That's plenty for me... the guy has been around for 30 years... he's got TOO MUCH incredible material.

Well 10. was replaced with "Sunset Babies." "What Do you want from me" could have been replaced with something from DD.
So could 15.

Hell yea. I was at this show last year in July (2nd if I remember correctly) in Montreux. As a matter of fact, I was in the first row, and together with my friend, caught Alice's baton which he threw into the crowd during "No More Mr. Nice Guy". But not that anyone cares, right? :)
I agree that this was not the best Alice Cooper show of the last year, but the atmosphere sure as hell was fantastic and Mr. Cooper's all-powerful stage presence was perfectly captured by the 20 high-def cameras, I'm sure. As well as that, the highly theatrical performance and Alice's classics (Poison,Under My Wheels, No More Mr. Nice Guy) were met with huge enthusiasm by the crowd. The Montreux Jazz Festival is one of Europe's most prestigious music festivals so all you Alice Cooper fans can be sure that the sound quality and atmosphere on the DVD will be great.
To those who claim that Alice is just a performer and entertainer, not musician : Please keep in mind that
Alice Cooper is a legend who has always had a wide vocal range and has even written the instrumental parts of many of his songs. Besides that, he has a good sense of humor and an understanding of what showbuisness is. He influenced the likes of Motörhead, Megadeth, Mercyful Fate and many another hard rock band, and was one of the first musicians to incorporate horror and supernatural themes in his songs. He was also one of the first pioneers of white and black face/"corpse" paint!

Cool info for any extreme metalheads; we saw the guitarist of death metal band Samael at the show.

Well, I'm kind of late to this thread, but that DVD looks cool! I'll be getting it when it comes out.

Oh, and I checked out that SickthingsUK site mentioned in the post. Cool place. They even have setlists for all the tours. Looks like Sunset Babies didn't replace Between High School and Old School, it was in addition to it.....until he got to Germany later. Then HS and OS was gone.
