POISON Frontman Fears Hitman

The following item was published in today's (April 2) edition of the New York Post's "Page Six" column: "Is someone out to get POISON frontman Bret Michaels? On Thursday morning (March 30), the randy rocker was arriving at the Adam Corolla radio show in L.A. for a guest appearance when, as he was pulling into the parking lot on Wilshire and Fairfax, 'his Mercedes was hit with a bullet,' our source said. The window was shattered but Michaels was fine. Just five months ago, the back window of his tour bus was shot out in Springfield, Mass., while he was en route to a show. A rep for Michaels said, 'We're taking this seriously. We'd like to think it was random, but this is the second time this has happened in six months — both times at publicized events.'" As previously reported, Michaels escaped serious injury after shots were fired at his tour bus on Nov. 21, 2005 in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The singer was in town to perform a rare, invitation-only acoustic show, when, prior to the show, shots were fired from a white Ford F-150 while Michaels was still on the tour bus, according to witnesses. Michaels was struck in the face by flying broken glass, but escaped serious injury. More information on that incident is available at this location.

Although not one of my favorite bands, They do still put on a good show. I saw em with Skid Row last year......
C.C. Deville actually played a smoking solo.....believe it or not......
and
Bret Michaels is a good guy and a big fan of classic rock n roll
Too bad for him, he not only has to deal with diabetes on the road, he also has to worry about a hitman.......
I hope this issue is resolved before anyone get's injured or hurt because of it.......

I think this has less to do with Michaels and more to do with Adam Carolla. The first one was probably aimed at Michaels. This time I think was someone trying to get rid of a guets of Carolla's show so he wouldnt havea show, thus cancelling him.
It's probably not true, but Carolla sucks.
I'll be the first to say that Poison fucking sucked, I hate 'em, plain and simple. But I highly doubt this has ANYTHING to do with Poison. More than likely it has something to do with Michaels trying to be a country singer.

I'm not a fan of Poison, I saw them 3 times though because in '88 those guys were wild onstage. Best time for that band. Anyhow, trying to kill someone is serious. I hope they catch 'em. You NEVER wish anyone ill will.

This really is so sad. I have Been lucky enough to meet Bret quite a few times and he is sutch a sweet person and truly genuine and it just makes me furious that someone is trying to hurt him. Bret always makes himself so available to his fans and always takes time with them that for someone to try and hurt him well I hope they find whoever is doing this and they lock them up for good!

I have trouble convincing myself to try persuading this board that I'm a 'real metalhead', the facts are this.
Regardless of what I listen to now, Poison was the FIRST band I liked. I bought Flesh & Blood on cassette and listened to it every chance I got during a shitty community camping trip my parents made me go on; I'll always have a certain kind of respect/affection for Poison. Several people have mentioned Dime in this thread- I personally would feel totally sick if I had to sit still yet ANOTHER MURDER of an artist I deeply admire who has brought nothing but inspiration and joy into my life. Starchildemon has a good point. How much money do we pay for law enforcement and ivestigation agencies? When's the last time you can remember them doing something to HELP? THE POLICE NEED TO GET THE F.U.C.K. OFF THEIR ASSES AND FIGURE OUT WHAT'S GOING ON HERE "BEFORE!!!" WE HAVE ANOTHER DEAD ROCK STAR IN THE FUCKING OBITUARIES!
Honestly, how many more people deserve to be assasinated than Bret fucking Michaels from Poison?????!!!!!!
