BLUE ÖYSTER CULT Founder Selling One-Of-A-Kind Guitars - Apr. 3, 2006
Eric Bloom, a founding member of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, has announced the opening of www.EricBloomGuitars.com, through which he is offering one-of-a-kind guitars, each interpreting a different BÖC song.

What makes these guitars unique is Eric's vision of "playable art." Working with master airbrush artist Phillipe Renaudin, Eric has created six one-of-a-kind guitars in Art Series 1 that look as good as they play. He will hand-deliver each guitar to the buyer at a BLUE ÖYSTER CULT concert of their choice, playing the guitar at that performance and pose for photos, autographing the guitar and handing it over to the new owner after the show.

Art Series 1 of 6 guitars will be followed by Art Series 2 in late 2006. Supremely collectible, these guitar can be played or displayed as one-of-a-kind original artwork.

Bloom is the original lead vocalist, guitarist and frontman of the legendary BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, who have sold over 14 million albums/CDs far, with several releases having earned gold and platinum status. Having played over 4,000 concerts in more than 35 years of touring worldwide, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT are still performing over 70 times a year.

But at least it's not what I thought it was - Buck Dharma selling his famous white SG becaue he needs money.

These guys were killer in their day - their first three albums are text book, grounbreaking heavy metal.

good, some of the most clever lyrics in all of rock. Check out the Long days night dvd, excellent. Yea, a lot of the later songs are ignored: fire of unknown origin, veteran of the psychic wars, black blade, dr. music, heavy metal (black and silver), Vengeance (the pact) which was written for the taarna sequence in the heavy metal film. Fuckin awesome, hope i can see them live someday. Eric and Buck look healthy but allen lanier really looks like he has been through the ringer.

favorite for me is the reaper one.

i might have to see in to this...

btw aldo nova song...
armageddon/monkey on your back..

killer solo in the intro and that record
was much harder and heavier..
wish aldo nova's career would have
sustained longer

differently so its well worth picking up as many live bootlegs as you can. I forgot career of evil as a top pick.

Aldo Nova - produced and writes songs for celine dion, no shit , i read it in an interview on the classic rock website. Wish he would pick up the guitar again.
