HALLOWS EVE Sign With XTREEM MUSIC - Apr. 4, 2006
Xtreem Music has announced the signing of the reunited Atlanta-based thrashers HALLOWS EVE. The band returned in 2005 with a self-financed fourth album, entitled "Evil Never Dies", which went unnoticed due to a lack of real promotion and distribution, so the band finally signed a deal with Xtreem Music for a worldwide release that will result in proper exposure for this long-awaited return.

The new HALLOWS EVE line-up features two original members form the first album: Tommy Stewart (bass, vocals) and Skullator (guitar, vocals) and their style, although still retaining their original doses of that powerful blend of thrash and heavy metal, has incorporated more current influences from styles such as death metal with even some blast beats.

"Evil Never Dies" was recorded at Van Gogh Studios in Atlanta with co-producer Chris Gailfoil. The album follows the release of a two-track single, "Evil Offerings", which was recorded at Van Gogh in 2004.

Metal Blade Records recently released a deluxe box set by HALLOWS EVE, entitled "History of Terror". This collection includes all three of the group's Metal Blade albums (all remastered!), piles of bonus material and a bonus DVD (with a playing time of 200-plus minutes). Liner notes were included as well.

yeah, Metal Blade did a nice job with that package. I was disappointed musically though. I hadn't listened to any of their stuff for ages and it hasn't dated so well compared to other bands of the time.

HALLOWS EVE always kicked arse, but I read in their email that they nowadays also are influenced by Death Metal and even use blastbeats. Fucking ridiculous.

Hallows Eve's 3 releases have been among my favorites of metal ever, but honestly after 1 listen to "evil never dies" it still sounds hallows, but kinda weak, I don't know if its the production or the songs, it just doesn't click. anyway, look forward to get the boxset.

These guys suck. I never liked them and I don't like them now. Ultra cheese thrash metal at its worst.

If you listen to the chorus of their song "Monument", it sounds like they are saying "BUY NEW PANTS! BUY NEW PANTS!"
