OZZFEST 2006: New Kick-Off Date Announced

The Ozzfest 2006 organizers have announced a new kick-off date for this year's festival tour: June 29 at the White River Ampitheater in Auburn, Washington — two days earlier than the previous start date of July 1 in San Francisco, California.
According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the June 29 Ozzfest opening-night lineup will include a performance by OZZY OSBOURNE, who will appear at a total of 10 shows on the entire tour. Tickets for the Auburn date go on sale on April 8.
The Ozzfest schedule is now shaping up as follows:

There is not a band on this line up that I am willing to stand out in 100 degree heat, sweat my ass off, pay 100 dollars or whatever, for a ticket AND drive 300 miles to go see. The closest they are coming to Nashville is Indy...Hell, even if they did come to Nashville, I wouldnt go anyway. Last year, I did it for Maiden, and I would do it again, but not for this line up. This is horrible.

I'm not really a fan of Incubus either. I think that if they're going to put "metal" bands on this bill like they're SUPPOSE to, or so it seems like they're suppose to, they should really do it instead of booking bands like that. It's really a shame what it's come to when they have to start booking faux metal bands, or just straight up sucky bands for something that's built up to be so great.

WHile Europe has metal festivals almost weekly in the summer, we get Ozzfest each year. I've went to the last two in San Bernadino, Ca, two years ago for Slayer and Superjoint.; last year for Maiden.
I don't want to be within ten square miles of Disturbed. SOaD have ended up where all leftist socialist, losers do, on the scrap heap with no credibility and waning album sales. (Can you say RAtM)

If that was the price breakdown it would be worth it. But at the tweeter center its 20.00 to park 100.00 (not including charges) a ticket, and 10.00 a beer.

Left Denver out again! What the hell? This is 2 or 3 years in a row now. Last time it nearly sold out Mile High Stadium, but who can remember when that was? Anyone? Oh yeah, Denver doesn't exist anymore.
