BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Off ROB ZOMBIE Tour

According to one BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor, music fans who showed up at Detroit's State Theater on Friday, April 7 to see ROB ZOMBIE, LACUNA COIL and BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE were informed that BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE had been taken off the bill. Speculation at the concert was that they had been kicked off the tour, although this has **NOT** yet been confirmed by any official source. (NOTE: The band's web site administrator has now confirmed that the group are no longer on the tour.) In addition, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's official web site and the web site of their American record label, Trustkill Records, are no longer listing any of the remaining ROB ZOMBIE tour dates which were scheduled to feature BFMV in the opening slot. BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE made headlines on BLABBERMOUTH.NET on Thursday (April 6) when the band's guitarist/vocalist Matthew "Matt" Tuck slammed ROB ZOMBIE in an online post, claiming that his band was "not being treated well" on the ZOMBIE tour and calling the headliners "money-grabbing fucks" for allegedly seling their t-shirts for $40 a piece and making the support bands do the same. "As I write this, I'm sitting on the fuckin' floor of the venue 'coz we don't have a dressing room again, 'coz fuckin' Zombie takes them all for him, his band and crew," Tuck wrote at the time. "Basically, we are shit to him, but fuck it — if this is what it takes to get a name over here, then it's gotta be done. I'm not one to fuck around with words, so yes, we are not being treated well on this tour. Oh yeah, we don't get a soundcheck either. Fuckin' pissed at this tour, man." A few hours after making his original post, Tuck returned to BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's official message board to apologize to Rob and Zombie's crew for his earlier remarks, explaining, "I was really out of it this morning and let shit on the road fuck with my hung-over head. I'm truly sorry if any of my comments about this tour were out of line and totally exaggerated. This is our first real tour in the States and with lots of personal shit happening to me from home I just lost it. We really have been totally fuckin' thrilled to have the chance to play on this tour and are grateful for every new fan we make. It means everything to us to be able to play our shit for new fans. I'm really sorry to have offended anyone and look forward to putting this behind and getting back to the metal."

If you know anything about music, there guitar players are a hell of a lot better than rob techno music zombie's, rob hasn't put out good music since there band was called white zombie!! thanks to ego, they may be kicked off what could be their best shot at being accepted by mainstream(not that i support bfmv or mainstream)
the tour hits chicago on the 10th. i think i was originally booked at the riv. but the add stated the brawlroom. you could see sean on stage tonight-rumors have it she is in town for a wedding.
. for all we know, this whole thing could be a really cheesy pr stunt to give bfmv some more "notice" which in turn would get some promoter to give them a headlining tour, or support--and actually give them dressing rooms. after all, ths is all about having space--

these are definately all valid complaints. this major label rockstar bullshit blows my mind--price matching, two pieces of merch? c'mon.
however, i find it very difficult to believe that this wasn't clearly specificied in the contract when this tour was booked. this type of stuff goes on all the time with these big time rockstar douchebags like zombie.
so if you wanna play to zombie's audience of dorky 15 year olds with tons of cash to blow, and a burning desire to get a brand new t-shirt to wear to school tomorrow, you gotta play by his rules.
and if you don't like those rules, well, keep your mouth shut and spill the beans after you finish your dates, dummy.
either that or just go diy style and do your own tours. that's the real way to do it, but i doubt this shitty band would even know what to do if they weren't guaranteed a big time rockstar reception at their shows. it might blow their mind to find out that people don't even really like their recycled crap, they just like going to a "show" with the "hip" new band. try building a real audience first guys, then you can start demanding shit like dressing rooms---hahahahahah! god help them.

As much as i think Bon Jovi is a wuss, atleast his songs are listenable and have better song composition.

two videos from these retards from their official website...These guys do suck more than i thought. Everything is generic: The vocals, the drums, the guitar...
and one of their video has the band spinning around on a platform just like in one of the early megadeth videos ( i forgot which one) and the other video has these painful repeating shots of a girl in her underwear screaming at car accident. Even thier videos lack creativity or any entertainment value.
Bands like Trivium and Avenged Sevenfold look like God when you put Bullet for my valentine next to them.

I was actually at show on this tour (Philadelphia). BFMV did open, and I really did not like their music. I'm not letting that impact my opinion.
Their complaints were valid, and it does make Rob Zombie sound like a dick. But, I'm sure those conditions were made clear to the band before they agreed to do the tour; if not, they should have asked. They were very lucky to get on the bill, even though conditions were less then perfect. Matt should have kept his mouth shut and played thru the tour. But burning down a bridge while you are still standing on it? You deserve to drown.
The best they could have hoped for was opening up for a tour this big would give them enough exposure to get on a better tour next time around, but instead they got dropped.
For the record I only went for Lacuna Coil and I want my money back.

In a way i don't blame them. 40 dollars for a t shirt is absolutely fuckin' ridiculous. Lacuna Coil is main support and they only had 1 guys shirt and 1 girls shirt a hat and a sticker. What the fuck. The support acts merchandise was burried in the corner to allow Zombies fuckin' sell out paraphenalia. You suck Zombie if it wasn't for Lacuna Coil I wouldn't have went, but I left right after their set so I don't have to hear your gay solo material.

They leave the Bodom tour to do this, and then get themselves booted off. Nice work there.
To be fair, if any band deserves to be shot down in flames, it's Bullet For My Valentine. The band are megastars over here in the UK, and nobody quite knows why. Their music is bland, cliched and COMPLETELY trend driven; a few years ago, Bullet were trying to make a living cranking out third rate nu metal music, but as soon as guitar solos and Scandanavian influenced melodic riffing comes into fashion, these guys pop up like an unwanted erection.
They've managed to go from being noticed by the British music media, to being every impressionable 13-18 year old's favourite 'metal' band within a couple of years. Why? Because they've been hyped to the heavens and back. EVERY issue of EVERY metal publication has had a Bullet article in it for the past year. Their music videos have been playing constantly on music television, they've been given choice slots in festivals and tours...and then, they go to America.
See, being British, I know for a fact that the American metal fans tend to have a slightly better bullshit detector on them than we do, because our fans have Kerrang! and Metal Hammer shoved so far up their asses, they actually converse in printed text.
They sack off the Bodom tour, one in which perhaps a few metalcore fans would actually go to and get into the band, and join the Zombie tour with Lacuna Coil above them, where there won't be ANY metalcore fans at all...least not REAL ones.
He spouts his mouth like the rock star the press have made him out to be, and he gets his band booted off a highly profitable tour. Great. That's what happens when you're actually NOT a rock star and you're in a country that doesn't give two shits about you.
Welcome back down to planet Earth Bullet, where Kerrang! and all those kids they've brainwashed into the Fashioncore brigade, can't help you now. Cocks.

Trustkill Records and RED distribution (which is owned by sony) are putting a ton of money into this band.
Sure they may not play any major metal tours for a while, but to be honest....regardless of whether you like BFMV or not.....they are a marketable entity that can be sold to the 13-20's as metal....so being on the Rob Zombie tour....or being on a Children Of Bodom tour.....or a tour like ozzfest or sounds of the underground....will not really benefit this band!
They also have a sound that is going to be seen as unique to most mainstream america....mixing clean vocal emo singing with basic thrash metal riffs!
I honestly think they will have a bit of a future for themselves....they have the potential to make money for Trustkill with the right exposure....and that is the only reason a label signs a band.....because they see dollar sogns off the band!
Bands like Bullet For My Valentine are in the same league as The Used, Eighteen Visions, and Avenged Sevenfold.....basically, they are more Warped Tour / Taste Of Chaos / Hot Topic bands who really don't need metal tours....I am not saying that is a bad thing. I am just glad kids are Listeing to BFMV and not Ashlee Simpson or Paul Wall.
I will say this much, Matt Tuck (Vocalist, Guiarist for BFMV) should have kept his mouth shut until after the tour. Notice how Bert McCracken (used Singer) waited till after he did Ozzfest AND broke up with Kelly Osbourne before he started running his mouth about how much he thought Ozzfest sucked!
The hype around Bullet For My Valentine is pretty good in the US, they really didn't need to be opening for anyone in the first place.

I am so glad now they are kicked off the tour, I hope that means longer set times for Lacuna Coil and Zombie. People who whine about prices of t-shirts must not go to many concert's Every concert I have gone to that features a major label artist has t-shirt's for $30 or more. They must not have had to pat their dues over in Europe because even I who never played an instrument in my life can tell you that everything he was bitching about is what every band has to go through, they aren't going to get special recognition just because they are big in the U.K. Rob def. makes wired choices in openers like his last tour when he invited the damned to play.

I'm heading to Milwaukee to see Lacuna Coil, and Rob Zombie. While I'm not overly thrilled with Rob's latest CD, My wife and my sister-in-law are huge 'Coil fans. Apparently both bands are indeed playing longer sets now.

A couple of things I have to say....
First off if any of you guys know anything about touring bullet in a low man of a three band set doesn't get all the goods example the tour came here to chicago and played the aragon ballroom. The ballroom only has two dressing rooms. We'll that would leave someone not happy. Also the t-shirt prices @ 40 dollars a hit is about right. Korn has an 85 dollar shirt on there tour aerosmith a couple of years ago(9 lives tour) had an 100 jersey. The prices are there to offset the money that the record label is losing due to downloading and counterfeits. Someone has to pay and remember shit rolls downhill so we pay as the consumer. Music is a business, like it or not.
Second never heard a song by bfmv, I went to the show here in chicago to see Zombie & coil with the hope of liking bfmv. I'm a fan of music. If you sound good I will buy your cd if not hey good luck just not my cup of tea.
Third, Music does change.. zombies music also has. If it didn't then you would complain that they play the same(insert whatever you want here). Or the famous line "they are sellouts" I purchased Educated horses the tuesday it came out. I like it and someone else has to because it hit 110,000 first week per billboard(#5)
Fourth, As the low man on the tour your job is to have a great set to get your name out. Don't say anything but thank the other bands on the bill. That is called paying your dues and that is where this kid from bfmv fucked up. This will go against him in the business. all the promoters/booking agents will not want to deal with a band that has the baggage of whining to the consumer(us). Unless they get huge then nobody cares, but from the unofficial poll that seems to have happened at this website they are not a very good band.
This is the biggest. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE MUSIC, TURN IT OFF/TURN IT DOWN/SHUT THE FUCK UP. I don't understand you people. I read blabbermouth(btw it fucking rocks having this place to get all news on music) everyday and every time I start to read threads its the same shit. "they suck" or shit along the line. Why do you waste your time if you don't like it? move on.. Life is to short to waste it commenting on every band that you don't like.

When printing the name of a person in an article, it's unnecessary to print the shortened version of a name (e.g. Matthew "Matt" Tuck) next to the full name when the full name actually contains the shortened version.
Certainly nobody really takes you as any sort of reputable news outlet, but perhaps you may try to remedy this in the distant future by not printing articles in the format of a person educated through GED correspondence courses.

I was just reading this article and I decided to read the comments. First off to the guy that said Bullet For My Valentine, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Bleeding Through, Silverstein, and Underoath, are emo and brainwashing kids is just a retard. They're hardcore, metal, screamo whatever the hell you want to categorize them as. They are NOT even close to being emo. Anyone who calls a person and/or a band "emo" without knowing what emo is in the first place is an idiot and should be taken outside and beat with a hose. As for this Matt guy whining... 1. Why attack the blokes country? How petty is that?! 3. Those who say BFMV are shit - An opinion is like an arsehole, we all have one. Just most are sensible enough to realise that not everyones the same and opinions are obviously different. If you dont like em, fine but no one wants to hear how much you hate them. What the fuck is the point of that? What the fuck is gained through negativity but more of it? Though reading through the posted comments of some others thats probably a yes. I do like bullet but i'm not gonna say they've got what they deserve or anything like that. I'm gonna say they made a mistake and have probably learned from it. I'm not gonna call them Pricks. I dont know these guys and they've done nothing personally to me to earn that tag. If i was treated the way they have been I'd most likely say something too. I dont think they're over, they're set to headline a lotta stuff coming up as well. To be honest I hope they stay around for 10000 years just to piss off the stupid fucks that call them Emo and say they should die. I hope they piss you all off so that you fuck off and give some much needed living space to human beings who do deserve it!
4. Those who say they should get aids - Why dont you come into contact with Aids and see how perky you feel about wishing it on others? I can't believe you think saying something like that is funny! Stupid fucking teenagers with no life and no experience of anything but hate - thats all i can say. No wonder the world is going to hell right now if this is what the youth is like these days. Says great things for the future!!!

Bullet did not play at the rave in milwaukee last night i hope they were kicked off the tour but it was a great show and t-shirts were only $25 that is not that bad

I'm glad they were kicked off the tour, longer sets for Rob and Lucuna coil even though i don't like Coil that much Rob played 13 songs it was great

Maybe someone should have beenthankfull to be on a tour that sold out nearly every venue.
Maybe someone should have thought about their comments before posting them where hundreds of thousands of poeple would read them.
just proves that no one thinks before they post about shit that could have been taken care of with a nice conversation.
the Des Moines, Iowa show kicked ass. Sid and Jim of Slipknot were both there ... and i doubt if anyone missed BFMV ...

first of all, anyone on here that likes zombie has zero cred whatsoever... a bunch of commercial trash for fucking rednecks.
Second, good for that guy for calling out zombie's greedy ass. I'm not a huge Bullet fan, but that isn't even the issue. All of you just wanna hate on them because they are getting popular and you want to be Mr. Hardcore tough guy.

But I had to get some things off my chest after reading it all.
When I first read what Matt said, I could tell he probably wasn't in his right state of mind. I thought he might have been drunk. Turns out he was hungover and going through a rough time, go figure.
Don't act like you all are perfect and have never said shit out of proportion. I know each and every person on this forum has said something in their life that they shouldn't have and later regretted it. He's human. Understand that. He was stuck sitting on the fucking venue floor. It's hard to go from fame to nothing like they had to when they came to the US from UK. Just like when you switch jobs, at one that you have been at a while, you had respect, you had a say, and then you switch to another where you have to build all that back up. It's tough for any person.
I fucking hate anyone who calls themselves a "metalhead". Better term is meathead for you bastards.
Now I'm a fan of both Bullet and Zombie. I went to the show in Denver on April 24th, I think. Bullet wasn't there by then. If they were it would've been phenomenal. I have had bad luck with Bullet shows three times now. First this one, as I just found out. Then the KBPI Missletoe Jam, when Matt got sick, and Bullet were the only fucking reason I even got tickets to that show. Then a show in April of 07 when I had to fly out to New York.
Either way, that's not important...
The only reason that Matt was complaining about the shirts is FOR YOU FUCKERS. He knows that not everyone has 40 bucks to throw away on a shirt. Shit, fucking ungrateful fucks.
I respect him for what was said. Hell, Zombie might be a prick but I still respect him for making good music and amazing movies. That show was probably the best I've seen take away Tool and NIN. I fucking love Axl, be he a prick, be he without Slash, he got my fucking respect.
Matt didn't diss on him, he just made a statement. Once again concerning the fans. He was probably referring mainly to the fact that Axl doesn't show up at shows. Think about it. Maybe it's been 16 years since you've seen Guns, maybe you've loved them for ages but never seen them, and you have the once in a lifetime show scheduled in your city and Axl doesn't show up. Come on guys. Open your fucking minds.
Oh and that whole 50 year old mullethead denim comment was fucking hilarious. Seriously, denim? It's either those guys Matt mentions or crackheads in the worst part of town that wear that. If you saw a guys walking around in 18th century apparel on a daily basis, wouldn't you mention that he's a little out of style? What about a guy wearing a pelt like a caveman? I'm not saying you have to fit in with fashion, but there's a general idea that everyone follows so they don't look like a bafoon. Hell, sometimes I'll borrow some 80's styles in my look, but not to the point of being stuck in that fuckin' century.
And one more thing, once you grow up, you understand that there is no music that sucks. Nothing that I hate more than people bashing other music. Yes, I do it sometimes, but only ridiculous shit like Jack Johnson. I need to work on that. Music is made for a variety of audiences. To each his own. When will people understand that. You will never convince some tribe person from Africa that you h3AvY M3t4L is better than their bongo drum music, and they will never convince you otherwise. That's where we falter as a society.
Enough ranting now. I'm sorry. If you've made it this far, thank you for reading.
Anyway, Bullet's new album kicks ass. They have gotten a lot heavier it seems. Can't wait for Taste Of Chaos.
Oh, and one last thing...Bullet got kicked off the tour, but they're still kicking just ass much ass as they would have if they didn't.
