ALICE IN CHAINS To Play 'At Least' Five U.S. Shows Before Heading To Europe

Launch Radio Networks is reporting that the reunited ALICE IN CHAINS will play at least five shows in the U.S. before heading overseas for a series of summer European dates. The band have revealed on their web site that the first date of their U.S. tour will be May 18. No city or venue has been named yet, but a message posted at the site reads, "While we can't yet share too many details about this tour, we can tell you that all the venues will be clubs, which will give fans an intimate AIC experience. We can also tell you that every city the band plays in has its own major league baseball team."
The band has also confirmed that COMES WITH THE FALL vocalist/guitarist William DuVall will sing lead vocals for the group on its upcoming run, along with a few "special guests."
DuVall performed two songs with ALICE IN CHAINS last month in New Jersey at a taping of the VH1 Classic series "Decades Rock Live!" He has also sung ALICE IN CHAINS material as part of guitarist Jerry Cantrell's solo touring band.

Not even worth the effort without Layne there is not AIC.
Would like to see the guys get together and make their own band without having to revisit AIC' s music.

Jerry Cantrell is as much if not more AIC than Layne Staley was. He wrote a majority of the lyrics and music. No disrespect towards Layne.

i see the first show being in seattle. there will be one in nyc, one in la, one in chicago. perhaps cleveland or detroit. pretty much "A market towns"(sorry milwaukee-at least you still have the eagles/rave/shank. just drink up at lemmy's, shot some stick and know that the brew crew will have a pretty good team(for once) in fact, there might even be a gold glove winner on the team this yr!

Eddie Vedder is gay. I hate to flame about him, but dude sucks. Pearl Jam makes radio friendly rock just like Nickleback. Cornell, Mark Lanegan, or Maynard would be great, but would never happen. We're just gonna have to settle for William DuVall.

If they are travelling by bus, you can easily figure out that May 18 will probably be somewhere within driving range, say maybe LOS ANGELES? SEATTLE is too far, but could happen....

How in the hell can you have a Alice In Chains tour without Layne? That would be like having a White Zombie tour without Rob Zombie. If they really need money, then they should just get themselves full-time jobs.

I would love to see them at the tabernacle. I live pretty far away from it, but if i could just find out in time, i could get a ticket

for me alice in chains just isn't the same without Layne Staley
even if Jerry Cantrell is as much if not more AIC than Layne Staley It's still not the same.
Jerry should just make another solo album or release an album with danzig now that would be great
