AC/DC: Early Tour Bus Being Auctioned? - Apr. 12, 2006

According to a posting on the AC/DC Highway To Hell web site, a 1957 Flxible Clipper bus which supposedly belonged to AC/DC during this period and was used as the band's tour bus has been put up for auction on eBay. Early AC/DC manager Michael Browning is said to have sold the bus to Adelaide radio announcer Des Feary (5AD, Adelaide, Australia), who used it as a motor home for fifteen years. The bus has since been completely restored, but the auction page also includes photos of the bus in its original condition.

	Although as much as AC/DC kicks ass all the way down the Highway, we're talking a pretty old and smelly bus. Can't imagine your feet don't stick to the floor and even though it's been a few years the stench of groupie must still be in the seats. Take a big whiff, smell that, that's greatness in the making.

	Paint the sucker using all kinds of AC/DC images from ablum covers and logos and such and then tour around the city where they come from and show them sites like the studio where they recorded, flats where they lived and all sorts of stuff. Charge about $25 per person and they'd make a mind. Los Angeles has a graveyard tour where they take you around to all the Hollywood spots where old stars lived and where they're buried and stuff. It's a gold mine waiting to happen. Imagine touring in the tour bus. Playing the music while touring and imagine the merchandise that could be sold. Everything from cheesy school book bags to T-shirts to CDs, DVDs. Their management is missing the boat.
