Former MARILYN MANSON Guitarist JOHN 5 Leaves LOSER To Focus On ROB ZOMBIE

Island Records made the decision to drop the band LOSER when founding member John 5 (ex-MARILYN MANSON) opted to leave the group and maintain his position as the guitarist for ROB ZOMBIE. "Being the founding member of LOSER, my decision to leave was not an easy one," said John 5 in a press release. "I've been juggling two careers both with LOSER and ROB ZOMBIE for over one year now. I found it impossible to be in two places at once."
With the success of ROB ZOMBIE's "Educated Horses" 2006 tour and the new dates added to the trek, it became impossible for John 5 to promote LOSER properly. In discussions with Island, John 5 suggested bringing in a replacement guitarist for LOSER's live shows. Island Records was in opposition to the suggestion as that is not "what they had signed on for." Consequently, Island Records chose to drop the act. "I understand the decision from the label but feel it could have worked out for everyone involved," John 5 said. "I wish Joe, Glen and Charles all the success they deserve. They are amazing guys and deserve their shot."
There is currently no word on when — or if — LOSER's already completed debut album will be released.

Buckethead didn't leave GNR for System.. he left GNR because hes been solo for years and got tired of waiting on Axl.. he then SIGNED TO SERJ TANKIAN's record label, Serjical Strike.

I pissed in a bucket standing in line for a concert (can't remember what band, but it couldn't wait...) and some guy, true story, carrying a guitar case picks it up, tastes it, then dumps it over his head, says "I'm Buckethead! That's it! It's perfect! Thanks dooood!". I'm like, "YOU SHOULD have taken acid and seen the Dead, man. You've got issues!". He's like, "I've also got a trademark now!" I was like, "What? you smell like piss?" He just laughed and said, "You have no idea, man!". Fast forward, I hear about a guitarist called "Buckethead" a few years later. I was like, "Wow, that reminds me of that one dude I saw at a concert." I googled him... SAME GUY! I kid you not! He'd never admit it, but that sick puppy IS a famous musician now, so what can I say? All to think the very same bucket I pissed in helped propel a guitarist with talent into a "rock star". Imagine that. I'm sure he changed buckets as time went on, but you never forget your first. Am I right piss, I mean, BucketHead?!? You sick puppy! Good luck. If you ever need a new gimmick, I'll take a dump in easter hay and you can wear it as a wig or something, OK?

I didn't like Loser that much. I only followed them because J5 was in the band. I'm a huge Zombie fan, so I hope this means Zombie will make more music.
