IN FLAMES, SICK OF IT ALL, ATREYU, DEVILDRIVER Confirmed For U.K.'s DOWNLOAD Festival

IN FLAMES, SICK OF IT ALL, ATREYU, JOHNNY TRUANT, DEVILDRIVER and MENDEED are among the latest acts confirmed for Download festival, set to take place at Castle Donington, Leicestershire, over the weekend of June 9-11 June. As well as announcing seven new acts, organizers have also revealed details of stage splits and band running orders for the first time. It's going to be Cheaper than Downpoop and the Bands are gonna be better. I just picked up two tickets for around £110 where as ONE download ticket will cost you around £120. The Facilitys are way better at Wacken, the Germans definatly know how to run a festival.

There are a couple of good bands confirmed... alot of shit bands as well. Still, I wouldn't mind if someone randomly handed me a ticket, plane ride, and the works to go, otherwise, whatever.

It's not as if Download Festival is ran by Phil Anselmo now is it, what do you expect? just pure fucking Black/Death/Thrash/Extreme Music?, it's a rock festival not a harsh metal festival. There are quite a few good bands, albeit not as many as I would like, but CCLive have to cater for whats popular i.e. bullshit emo bands etc.

don't forget prodigy they may not b proper rock but am open minded the shit all over the bands on their stage day. but i dunno y they r redcued to playint ht stage at least have them in bullets spot n make bullet healdline 2nd stage. thing is bullet may b "popular" but prodigy r more popular than them they have fans ranginf form rock and dance n they played to arenas in the uk. where as bullet just meh they don't deserve it end of.

That is the best festival line-up I have ever seen in the way of bringing so many different genres together with a good mix. Plus I am super fucking proud of Protest the Hero, 'cause they have come a long ass way from when I saw them in a venue here in Brantford called the Ford Plant which holds 120 people maximum. Way to go fuckers!

Yeah....I do agree with the comment that this festival, in terms of having a little of everything, is one of the best lineups I have seen. They need a fest like this in Canada, so I could go.

there are a lot of bands i wouldn't mind seeing. sevendust was cool when i last saw them. i hung around lajon for a couple hours talking about music and he was pretty damn cool. in flames, soilwork, AIC? man I wish they had something like this in the states.
