Legendary drummer
Vinnie Paul Abbott (
PANTERA,
DAMAGEPLAN) will be playing all of the tracks from
REBEL MEETS REBEL, the long awaited collaboration between
Vinnie, his late brother
"Dimebag" Darrell, and outlaw country icon
David Allan Coe, on
Sirius Satellite Radio's
"Hard Attack" on Friday, April 28 beginning at 9:00 p.m. "
Vinnie's gonna tell us the deal behind every f-ing song… but he'll also talk about his brother, his music, his women and what it really means to meet a true rock and roll rebel," reads a
Sirius press release. Rebroadcast: Sat., April 29 @ 1 pm ET; Tues., May 2 @ 6 pm ET; Sun., May 7 @ 3 pm ET; Weds., May 17th @ 1 am ET.
As previously reported, the video for the first single,
"Nothin' to Lose", from the upcoming self-titled debut from
REBEL MEETS REBEL has been posted online at
this location (Windows Media). The song starts off with the sounds of
David and
Dimebag playing slot machines, and then you hear the awesome crunch of that classic
Dimebag groove.
Described as a unique crossover of country, metal and rock,
REBEL MEETS REBEL's self-titled CD (
cover) was recorded and mixed over a four-year period (1999-2003) at
Chasin Jason studios in Dalworthington Gardens, Texas. It will be issued on May 2 via
Vinnie's
Big Vin Records.
Dimebag was killed onstage in December of 2004 by a deranged fan during a
DAMAGEPLAN concert in Columbus, Ohio.
