TIAMAT: 'The Church Of Tiamat' E-Card Available - May 2, 2006
An e-card for TIAMAT's recently released DVD, "The Church of Tiamat", has been posted online at this location. The e-card contains several features, such as a streamable sample video of the DVD, the band's most recent tour dates, photos as well as detailed information on TIAMAT itself and the band's first official DVD release. The video teaser gives you the opportunity to check out the following songs: "Vote For Love", "Children Of The Underworld" and "Gaia".

As previously reported, TIAMAT have been confirmed for the Metalliance festival, set to take place May 4-7 in France. The band will also perform at the Metal Heads' Mission festival on August 13 in Ukraine.

TIAMAT's classic "Wildhoney" album (1994, Century Media) will be reissued later this month. "This will be a 'Wildhoney'-on-steroids [release] which will include a new layout with extensive (exhausting?) liner notes plus acoustic versions of 'Gaia' and 'Do You Dream Of Me?' plus maybe even more," the band write in a statement.

TIAMAT have "written and recorded ideas for about five [new] songs, with more to go in the 'near' future," according to bassist Anders Iwers. The band, whose last studio album, "Prey", was released in 2003 through Century Media, are currently unsigned and are composing material for a demo that they will use to procure a new label home. "And [then] hopefully, world domination will ensue," Iwers joked to BLABBERMOUTH.NET.

pretty much downwards from "A deeper kind of slumber"... I mean I still like some of the songs on the newer albums, but my heart is still with Clouds-Wildhoney era ....
