GUNS N' ROSES Frontman AXL ROSE Makes Surprise Appearance On New York Radio Show

GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose made an appearance on the on Eddie Trunk's "Friday Night Rocks" radio show on New York's Q104.3 FM last night (May 5). Axl is in New York City rehearsing with the rest of the band and when Sebastian Bach (ex- SKID ROW) was on the show, Bach invited Axl to come over to the radio station to chat. Axl joined Sebastian, Eddie, Scott Ian ( ANTHRAX) and Chris Jericho ( FOZZY frontman and former WWE wrestler) later and they spent the time talking about everything from W.A.S.P., tour memories ( SKID ROW opening for GN'R in New York in 1991 when Axl was late), meeting David Lee Roth, playing records and talking a bit about GN'R's future plans. Axl mentioned that GN'R were working on a new song that's not been recorded yet while rehearsing in New York. Regarding the album's release he said that it'll be out this fall or late fall. There'll be a third guitarist in the band and Izzy Stradlin might show up at the shows. Download an MP3 file containing the audio of Axl's appearance on the show at this location. The album won't be out until the fall or late fall. I like how he added late fall to give them more time. Will this recording ever come out. Did you ever read the book The Emperors New Clothes. In the story these swindlers convinced the king that they would make him a beautiful robe but they could not bother them while they were making it.Of course they never made it and they got away without doing naything. Sounds like the AXL situation now.

I was surprised that ol' Axl and Baz are still friends. I think VR feat Bach would've been cool. Just like Vr feat Josh Todd. With Weiland... I don't know. He seems to rip off both Axl and Todd with his stage performance. I saw VR live and was veeeeery disapointed. If Axl can live up to what GnR once were? I got tickets for this years German show. So I'll see... The songs of the New GnR I've heard since 2001 - some are great some are mediocre. Time will tell...........

Axl sounded great and i think those guys were like in shock when he actually showed up, just like anybody would, i think they did good considering they did not have any ? planned. All i cared about was hearing axl voice anyway, it didnt matter what they said. Axl Rose is my baby...

Extreme Noise Terrorizer: Fair enough but next time maybe mention the GNR songs that HAVE the racist/homophobic lyrics just to avoid confusion.
And while I like most 80's glam metal it's not the only genre I listen to. Plus I've heard performers from other genres of music such as black metal (Varg Vikernes) and nu-dancehall reggae (Beenie Man) espouse some of their own not-so-politically correct views on certain minority groups in public. If hair metal is racist music it sure as hell isn't the only one.
