AEROSMITH To Begin Recording New Album This Month - May 6, 2006
According to People magazine, AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler has a new "squeeze": tour promoter Erin Brady. The two are vacationing in Mexico while the rocker, who had throat surgery in March, rests his voice. He's due to begin recording the band's 15th studio album in Boston May 20.

Tyler and his wife of 17 years, Teresa, separated in February 2005. The couple have two teenage children, Chelsea, 17, and Taj, 14. Tyler is also the father of model Mia Tyler, 27, from a previous marriage to Cyrinda Fox, and the actress Liv Tyler, 28, from a previous relationship.

AEROSMITH's latest release is the concert set "Rockin' The Joint (Live At The Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas)", which was recorded at a January 2002 show. It's available on both CD and DVD.

AEROSMITH's forthcoming CD will be their first studio project since 2004's "Honkin' on Bobo".

Agreed, Nine Lives was awesome, Just Push Play sucked. So did Honkin' On Bobo. They had a good long stretch but I can't see this band gettin' it together for a good album. They're stuck on pop, and every ballad they do sounds just like the last one.

Aerosmith are not metal, but Nobody's Fault and Draw The Line were pretty heavy, and BOTH covered by Testament.

Nobody on this forum - other than you - is interested in anything Godsmack is doing or saying.

I just managed to read that Godsmack comment before it got deleted. So the forum DOES have moderation. Why isn't it used in 95% of the comments on the threads?

I agree that Nine Lives is their last kick ass album, but Just Push Play wasn't too too bad, but it wasn't great. Honkin' On Bobo was pretty cool, but still no greatness. Aerosmith hasn't released anything even close to metal for the longest time and probably NEVER will again. As previously said, Nobody's Fault and Draw The Line were both covered by Testament, who is as metal as they come, and both songs were metal when Aerosmith origionally did them. And you can't forget Round And Round, which was so Doom Metal-esque it's frightening. Yes, Aerosmith is my fav, go ahead...talk shit

Buncha silly kids! Aerosmith's last GREAT album was Rocks.
It's all been downhill from there. Well, strangely the album with the two scab guitarists was pretty kickass.

Done With Mirrors was a snoozefest, then began the bubblegum years. *gag*

Just Push Play doesn't even deserve to have their logo on it. They need to get pissed off and hungry again. That is when a band is at its best.

Still a good band. The last few efforts to me were " lets see if this works". Some of it did, some didnt( i dont group a whole album , even if most of it is shit, a good SONG is a good SONG). I dont think they've done a solid album since Pump, tho some songs were good on Get a Grip. I agree that Rocks and the unmentioned untiil now Toys In the Attic are the best 2 they've done. The person that said some shit about With Mirrors , i just wanna say 'DUH'. Its widely known , since it came out that its their worst album.

Im wondering with 13 canceled shows, and an opperation, how they are already getting back in the studio? I know its been 2 months, but is that enough to push his voice the way he does?

BTW , everything on here doesnt have to be Metal. I dont care if this site is promoted as 'metal'. They have lots to pay for to keep this up and running. And if people that like Aerosmith,Pearl Jam, Tool, RHCP etc. show up, thats great for you because it keeps this site going, and since you complainers come here most, you should be happy. Most of the "metal" as you call it wouldnt keep this site up for more than a week tops. They need traffic. And metal hasnt been metal in ever. Its all a mixed bag now, and if you want to be honest, you'll admit it, and already know it. Nothing is pure anymore, its all hybid.
