Updated: SEPULTURA To Guest On Next Weekend's 'Headbanger's Ball' - May 13, 2006

According to an SPV Records representative, Andreas Kisser and Derrick Green from SEPULTURA will be the featured guests on next Saturday's (May 20) "Headbanger's Ball" episode. "Headbanger's Ball" airs Saturday nights between 10:00 p.m. and midnight EST on MTV2. [NOTE: Tonight's guests are BURST, ***NOT*** SEPULTURA.]

As previoulsly reported, SEPULTURA's video for the track "Convicted in Life" has been posted online at YouTube.com, MTV Brasil. The clip was shot over a two-day period in February in São Paulo, Brazil. Check out pictures from the shoot at this location.

"Convicted in Life" (mp3) comes off the group's latest album, "Dante XXI", which was released in North America on March 14 via SPV.

SEPULTURA recently completed a European tour as direct support to Sweden's IN FLAMES. Filling in on drums during the tour was Roy Mayorga, who was standing in for founding member Igor Cavalera. Igor is taking a break from the group's touring activities to spend time with his second wife and their new son (who was born in January). Mayorga, who played with Igor's brother Max in SOULFLY for several years in the late '90s and again in 2001-2003, has since joined STONE SOUR as a full-time member.

	just cause max isnt in the band doesent meaen its not sepultura. you need to get over it. sepultura didnt die after arise or anything hell chaos ad is better then arise. arise was good but it is their most overated record. dante xxi is their best since chaos ad. hell derick's voice kicks ass. anyway im guessing im watching headbangers ball again.

	...move the fuck on with your life, all you "bring back Max"-jerking-off-into-a-crumpled-up-Kreator-poster-with-your-bullet-belt-on die-hards. Dante XXI is a fucking masterpiece, and yes, although Max was a great frontman, it's about time they had someone in the band that can write intelligent, coherent lyrics. Mmm... Beer... c(_) P.S. 	Headbanger's Ball blows. Two hours of screamo/metalcore/nu metal to see one or two decent videos? I'd prefer to sift through glam like the old Headbanger's Ball than any of that garbage. Sepultura circa 2006 certainly aren't going to make me want to watch it anymore.
