ALICE IN CHAINS To Play Free Show In Seattle - May 15, 2006
ALICE IN CHAINS will be playing a free show Tuesday night (May 16) at Seattle's Moore Theater.

To get tickets all you have to do is show up at the Moore box office. The staff there will start giving out tickets at 6:00 p.m. PST today so try to get over there as soon as possible if you want one.

The Moore box office is located at: 1932 Second Avenue, Seattle WA. Tickets are limited to two per person. This is a general admission, all-ages show.

As previously reported, a half-hour interview with ALICE IN CHAINS members Jerry Cantrell (guitar), Sean Kinney (drums) and Mike Inez (bass) — which aired earlier in the month on the HDNet (High Definition TV) channel as part of the "Sound Off" program with host Matt Pinfield — has been posted online at this location.

ALICE IN CHAINS recently confirmed the five dates and cities for its U.S. mini-tour, beginning on May 18 in Los Angeles and ending on May 23 in New York City. The shows will all take place in either small clubs or theatres.

These gigs and a previously announced date at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August are the only announced North American shows for the reunited group so far, with European festival dates on tap for June and July.

ALICE IN CHAINS will be joined on vocals by COMES WITH THE FALL frontman William DuVall. However, surprise guest vocalists and musicians are expected to show up at each of the five U.S. dates.

Phil Anselmo was singing leads with Alice in Chains. It actually sounded pretty good. At the end of the song he dedicated it to Layne and Dimebag. Touching moment.

It's strange seeing Alice in Chains play at the Moore Theater again. I still have the live Facelift video, which I believe was filmed back around 1990. Also, the live Mad Season video was filmed there as well. But I'm in Massachusetts, so the whole thing is irrelevant to me.

Shit, I live in Seattle and I just don't care. Ah the luxury of being a local....maybe I'll go after work out of curiousity.

Why should the rest of the guys just skulk through life because Layne is gone. It's too bad he died, but their music is great. I saw the Anselmo thingy and it sounded pretty good. AIC are good musicians. They should have no problem playing proper with a decent vocalist. I'd go if I could.

My opinion is that they should leave AIC to rest.
It isn't the same without Layne.
Seems like they are trying to cash in on his legacy.

I think William sounds great! And he seems like an awesome person...
grouchy people!

BTW - just caught a surprise appearance by jerry cantrell on Mother's Day...he came out and played a Barracuda encore with Heart in honor of current Heart bassist Mike Inez's birthday. In Phoenix.

I do not think they are trying to cash in on Layne's legacy...it's just that...they happen to still be among the living.
What would Layne do??

Love Rules!

What's up with all the negativity??

We're all here cuz we luv the music, right??
