GODSMACK, ROB ZOMBIE To Co-Headline U.S. Tour: First Dates Expected Soon - May 24, 2006
As BLABBERMOUTH.NET first reported on April 26, GODSMACK's rumored North American co-headlining tour with ROB ZOMBIE is becoming a reality, with Ticketmater currently listing the trek in their system and on their web site. At this point in time, no dates have been announced, but it is expected that more details will be made available during the next couple of weeks.

In an April 24, 2006 interview with Cutter of the Appleton, Wisconsin radio station Razor 94.7, GODSMACK drummer Shannon Larkin said of the band's upcoming touring plans, "We're going to Canada [in June], then we're gonna hit Alaska, then we're gonna move over to Japan, come back around the world, do Mexico, South America… Unfortunately, it's not gonna be until September that we come to America, but on the positive tip, when we do come to America, it will be our biggest show we've ever brought out, and we have a wonderful, wonderful co-headliner. And guess who it is? I can't tell you. I know, it's such a teaser. I guess the deal's 99 percent done, not a hundred, so… But it's gonna happen. I've talked to the man in question even, so I can say we're bringing a kick-ass show — two kick-ass bands plus an opening band — and like I said, we're not sparing any account on the people's expense this time — it's gonna be full-blown pyro, video, midgets… just kidding, no midgets. [Laughs]"

"Midgets" is politically incorrect. It's like the "N" word to them.

How utterly uncouth and poorly worded.

Tsk tsk

Hopefully Zombie will bring his full tour package back. With pyro and stage antics. To hell with "the band getting lost on stage". I went to see a show! :)

Well, I don't take offense because of the word midget, I take offense because the whole idea of substituting words in band names is pretty amateurish. Eight year olds, dude. And those particular examples aren't even the least bit funny.

Anyway, if you go back and read what the guy said, he made it pretty darn obvious who the co-headliner would be. Midgets and pyro? The only possibilities are Rob Zombie and the all-midget Kiss cover band they interviewed on The Daily Show awhile back. And something tells me those guys won't be headlining anything anytime soon. Clotheslined by a fire hydrant maybe, but not headlining.

What no midgets???....OH CRUEL WORLD!!!

Zombie and Godsmack=great bands.

They need to add mini-KISS to the bill so we can have our midget fix.

back the big show to appease his detractors. This would be the time for it with no other big productions out there.

I like midgets, and I like the word midgets even more. Godsmack and Zomblie had some special stuff coming out before, but lately there's seems to be a bit of creative lacking. Still, they have proven themselves to be... decent.
Decent enough for a post from me, of course.

So when did Alaska not become part of America? Just a question. Gonna see Godsmack in June in Anchorage. They are to MTV for me but not too many shows come through here so when a metal(I guess) band comes to town I gotta go. We seem to get at least one band a year-Misfits last summer, Godsmack this summer. If anyone reads this drivel please send more bands to the country(if we're not part of america anymore) of Alaska please. Need real metal before I waste away.

I'm so there. Question though, is this tour also with Anthrax? Or is this just another tour?

this summer is turning out to be a fucking awsome time with all the bands that are touring. Spending a shitload of my money really hurts, but fuck it anyway.
And seriously how does Godsmack do it. There are so many good bands out there. These guys bore the hell out of me.
But thats just me, I guess I just don't get it.
