ALICE IN CHAINS: More U.S. Tour Dates Announced
- May 25, 2006
|
|
ALICE IN CHAINS have announced four more U.S. dates in August to coincide with their appearance at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, SD. The group's U.S. itinerary is now shaping up as follows: Aug. 03 - Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach, NH Aug. 04 - Starland Ballroom - Sayreville, NJ Aug. 05 - Musikfest, River Place Venue - Bethleham, PA Aug. 11 - Sturgis Motorcycle Rally - Sturgis, SD Aug. 12 - Sioux Empire Fairgrounds - Sioux Falls, SD All the pre-sales for the new dates will take place on Tuesday, May 30. ALICE IN CHAINS — Jerry Cantrell, Sean Kinney, Mike Inez and William DuVall (who will handle lead vocals for the group) — recently completed a short U.S. tour and will next head overseas for a series of club dates and festival appearances. As previously reported, a half-hour interview with ALICE IN CHAINS members Cantrell, Kinney and Inez — which aired earlier in the month on the HDNet ( High Definition TV) channel as part of the "Sound Off" program with host Matt Pinfield — has been posted online at this location.

Philly people don't know how to get off their asses and attend shows. I can't even begin to tell you how many shows in Philly I've been to with hardly anyone there. That's why it gets skipped.

I know how shitty it's been with shows in Philly for the last several years...now bands are finally just skipping us....but on the upside you have Allentown, Sayreville, Asbury Park, and Atlantic City within an hour of you...I dont like having to travel to see something when I live in the middle of the 5th biggest city in the country, but sometimes it is necessary

I'm still sketchy about someone else singing for A.I.C.....won't be the same without Layne. Layne was Alice In Chains...

I mean no disrespect to Layne and his family, but he's dead. Get over it. I would think the surviving members of AIC thought long and hard about getting back together with another singer. I'm also confident that they know who would be best to fill Layne's spot. From what I've heard so far, he's doing a good job. There will never be another Layne....period, but there will always be Alice In Chains. Open your minds and ears and give it a chance!!!

Again...people putting words into my comments that are clearly not there. I didn't say I wasn't going to give it a chance. I have an extremely open mind thank you. And I certainly do *not* need to be told to have an open mind by someone on this site, sorry, but no.

They need more dates than this, I'm not driving to New Jersey to see them unless they have a reanimated Layne Staley with them.

$36 for tix is kind of steep for starland. However, it is one of the few good shows they're having there this year.

Yeah, I know. I have lots of surrounding areas to see shows in besides Philly, NYC, NJ, Allentown... etc. So it's not really a big deal, but I like Philly venues better than most other places, so that's really the only problem I have with it.

The Trocadero and the TLA are the 2 best venues to see something at in Philly well at least in my opinion and nothing ever comes there anymore
