KISS, JUDAS PRIEST, DEF LEPPARD, QUEEN Perform At 'VH1 Rock Honors': Photos Available

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley and ex- GUNS N' ROSES axeman Gilby Clarke joined an all-star band consisting of Rob Zombie (vocals), Slash (guitar; VELVET REVOLVER, ex- GUNS N' ROSES), Tommy Lee (drums; MÖTLEY CRÜE), and Scott Ian (bass — yes, bass; ANTHRAX) for a rendition of the KISS classic "God of Thunder" as a tribute to KISS at the first annual "VH1 Rock Honors" Thursday night (May 25). Meanwhile, QUEEN guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor made a surprise appearance with FOO FIGHTERS, who were paying tribute to QUEEN at the event. "VH1 Rock Honors" is the first-ever show to pay homage to the legends who influenced the sound of hard rock. This year's celebration honors the music and influence of JUDAS PRIEST, KISS, QUEEN and DEF LEPPARD. Premiering on Wednesday, May 31 at 9:00 p.m., "VH1 Rock Honors" was taped at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will include performances by all of the honorees as well as tribute performances by GODSMACK (who are paying tribute to JUDAS PRIEST), FOO FIGHTERS and THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS ( DEF LEPPARD). Surreal Moment of the Evening: Towards the end of the KISS set (but before "Makin' Love" was played), all of the honorees were brought out for a final bow. At one point Ace was next to Tommy Thayer (in the Spaceman makeup). It was really strange... Hey, maybee their next compilation CD won't include that one.

The dude's 48 yrs old and has a six pack most 28 yr olds don't have. Any guy in good enough shape to be walking around shirtless at 48 deserves a hand- most of the metal followers don't keep themselves in that kind of shape!
And Rick has had Bell's Palsy since 1996- after ten years it shows. YOU live with a disease that paralayzes YOUR facial muscles for 10 yrs and see what YOU look like! Besides since when do looks matter?? The guy can still play the bass for the Leps just like he has since 1977!!!
