Of course they'll sell out every venue! They're playing tiny-ass venues! And they use this small supply as an excuse to bleed the fans dry with SIXTY DOLLAR TICKETS!

Thank God Gamma Ray came to town on the same day as Tool. Instead of paying 60 dollars to see Tool play a shortened setlist (most of which came from the subpar new album), I got to see Germany's finest play a set of undisputable power-metal classics.

First of all, Gamma Ray couldn't give away 10 tickets.

Secondly, it's a rare day when one of the greatest/most popular metal bands of all time make their shows available in such intimate, small venues.

No one was forced to buy a ticket (in fact, Tool could have easily charged 2x as much, and easily sell each venue out in minutes), and Tool didn't play a shortened setlist.

Don't be a hater.

WHY THE FUCK do they post the MINISTRY show in New Orleans
when 80% of the people from New Orleans are living in Texas
and other states right now.

I just seen Ministry a few weeks ago in Houston, and there was
at least 5000 + people there. SO, FUCK THE NEW ORLEANS
ATTENDANCE POLL.

I think it is clear that they are just a bit overrated. There last two albums were not that good. Every song is 8 minutes long with three minutes worth of material. Dont get me wrong, I like Tool. All of their albums are at least decent. Undertow, Opiate and Aenema are very good. They put on a killer show, but they are not even close to as good as a lot of bands that dont get shit for press or fanbase. I.E. Kreator, Amon Amarth, 1349, Evergrey.

You must have misread that... Tool sold out both their venues... otherwise they would've drawn more... Also, they made more out of 1 venue sell out than AVENGED SEVENFOLD, COHEED & CAMBRIA, EIGHTEEN VISIONS put together.

I'm surprised Tool is doing so well... that new CD was quite disappointing.

on a TV behind me, the Tigers are playing the Indians. The stadium PA is blasting a audio clip of part of "Vicarious" when one of the Tigers (I think it's Chris Shelton, which would make AIC's "Rooster" more appropos) comes up to bat.
To whomever asked why Tool's playing these small venues...they're using these small shows to warm up for the huge shows in Europe this summer. Remember - the Lateralus tour ended in Oct. '02.

1) That WAS Chris Shelton using Tool's "Vicarious" as his coming-to-bat music.

2) Danica Patrick's currently in 6th place; 2.75 seconds off the leader's pace.

I know you care...hahahahahahahaha. Time to get off this computer; a shower and the techno/electronic festival in downtown Detroit await me. Have a great memorial Day, people!

I am not a big fan of powermetal, but for a tool fan to be calling power metal gay is just ....."special".

I know that power metal ain't the machoist genre of all. With the highpitched voice and leather and shit....

but they don't have songs like "prison sex", atleast not that I know of.

And I remeber seeing tool's frontman performing with fake tits and a bra some years ago in a magazine.....

Now that is high quality machoness, only matched by the village people ;)

Were just doing a warmup tour in the US. They will be back in the fall... It's a good idea too, becuase they haven't toured in about 5 years or so. I think that is the first time for them to play it all together also. Weird huh?

Did you forget about Ozzfest? I hate Ozzfest and will gladly miss it again when it comes up this way but that'll sell more than Tool.

Metallica (In Europe and maybe US later in 06,Early 07') will certainly outell Tool.

Korn & Deftones will outsell Tool.

I don't mind Tool at all but quit acting like they have some sort of spell over their fanbase because they pale in comparisona and to be honest I despise most those bands\festivals I listed but the sad reality I could name tons more and every last one of those bands orgroups will outsell Tool and that's not even going into country music which it's top draw at the Moment (Kenny Chesney) made more last tour than Tool's probably grossed in their career.

Proper spelling, punctuation and sentence structure are very vital to your education.

FYI: Ozzfest has made close $300million since it's inception almost 11 years ago making it the best selling festival circuit in music.

Korn has had ONE album that has went straight to #1 on the Billboard charts (1999's Issues) and while I can't really argue about the Deftones never grabbing a #1 in the first week of sales you act as if it means anything at the moment. News Flash Idiot: The album was dropped just barely under a month ago. By all means it could still be a flop and now with CD's starting to sell more than they were Tool's hardly accomplished a godlike miracle.

And the last family values tour that Korn and Deftones did a few years back made close to $40 million which was second in tours for the year 2003 only to Metallica's Summer Sanitarium deal which tallied in about $50 million which still is more than Tool would've made doing their usual ampitheatre gigs.

I could go on for hours listing more bands that made a shitload more than Tool has but I think I'd die of exhaustion and quite possibly old age by the time I was finished. They are hardly the box office heroes you make them out to be.

Good Day
