SMASHING PUMPKINS Frontman Performs With ALICE IN CHAINS: Video Available

A video clip of SMASHING PUMPKINS frontman Billy Corgan performing the song "Down in a Hole" with ALICE IN CHAINS at the kick-off date of their first tour since 1996 in Los Angeles on May 18, 2006 has been posted online at this location. In other news, several clips have surfaced of ALICE IN CHAINS performing in Europe on their current tour. Check them out below: May 26, 2006 at Super Bock Super Rock festival in Lisbon, Portugal: "Junkhead" ( video) "Would?" ( video) May 27, 2006 in Maracena (Granada), Spain: "We Die Young" ( video) "Down in a Hole" ( video) As previously reported, ALICE IN CHAINS have announced four more U.S. dates for August, in addition to the band's previously announced performance at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota on August 11 and its headlining appearance at Locobazooka in Mansfield, Massachusetts on August 13. There's no word yet on whether the newly revealed August dates are part of a larger U.S. run. Singer William DuVall (of COMES WITH THE FALL) is handling vocals for the reunited band, which features guitarist Jerry Cantrell, bassist Mike Inez and drummer Sean Kinney. Original frontman Layne Staley died in 2002.

i would have been much more excited to have had corgan as the guest vocalist at my show rather than pat from damageplan. he's an interesting guy and his solo record was very underrated.
but please, stop talking about duvall until youve seen it in person. he is doing a fucking awesome job.

That video was horrible. You would think with today's technology someone could do better. And why are they getting all of these different singers to sing AIC songs? They should get Robert Smith of The Cure to lay his pipes on a few. Or Corey Glover of Living Colour.

im really not a aic fan, but they did do some cool things back in the day. hearing a song with billy was interesting, but i dont think his vocal style matches aic's music. hopefully, billy shows up to the chicago show. after all, it is home and he should do it. i just hope some fucking tool(aka draiman) doesnt show up

Hey People!
Watch out,if anyone out there want´s to me Mr.Jerry Cantrell,beware...the guy is a an A-hole!! I was backstage recently at the festival they played at here in Portugal,and he didn´t want to sign my CD covers,i guess i don´t have T&A(Tits and Ass),that would help. A big FU also to Big Val!!
Fuck you both!!! These fucking "has been" rockers come to a place that has fans and a person is treated like shit!

i dont see why he has to sign your fucking cd. being that you are in portugal, im willing to bet it was a fucking pirate cd. not signing doesnt make him a dick. you were backstage, which should be more than enough considering you dont have a pair of tits(unless they are man-boobs) you should have just told him thanks, had a coke and shut the fuck up, besides, if you really were bag stage, you would have been chasing the tits and ass instead of jerry. what was he doing? talking to a chick? you must be a cock block then.
im in chicago and i always see musicians up and about at shows. i could care less about a signature. just give us a good concert, throw some stuff in the crowd(pics/drumsticks, etc) and leave the rest to fate.

You know China Joe,your one of those americans that make america look bad. No, in Portugal we do have official releases,not pirate or bootleg copies. I have all the Alice in Chains CD´s and Jerry solo CD´s and none of them are "pirate"! This is Europe yes but it´s not as behind and 3rd world as you think. 2nd,no he had no chicks by him,it was just me and him,and he was a dick. 3rd,you know you are very lucky in Chicago to see and go by musicians,but here that doen´t happen very often,so as i knew i was going backstage i thought it would be cool to say hi and get my stuff signed,Mike Inez and Sean Kinney were super cool,Jerry was the DICK! End of story!

so you think you are entitled to a fucking autograph cause bands dont come there too often? its like saying cristina scabbia owes all the men at lacuna coil concerts blow jobs cause they dont come around very often... you have no right to get an autograph--it is a privlige. judging from your moronic tirad about aic, americans and myself would make me think that you didnt even deserve to have a fucking ticket to the fucking show.

also, i have been to europe quite a few times. so i know enough to make a rational decision. how many americans do you see wanting to move to europe? very few. how many europeans do you see trying to get to america? probably enough to fill portugal

I was at the L.A. show. It was a GREAT show. I was quite apprehensive having someone else singing Layne's songs, as AIC has always been one of my fave bands. In my opinion, William Duvall did a good job. I could have done without Bily Corgan, but I think Mark Lanegan(Screaming Trees) did a better job when he came out and sang Rooster. I think the best part of the show was the vibe. AMAZING !!! Everyone was there to pay tribute to Layne, and a good time was had by all.
