Original PENTAGRAM Member Loses Battle With Cancer - June 1, 2006
Vincent McAllister, the guitarist and a founding member of seminal metal band PENTAGRAM, has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 51.

McAllister played guitar in the classic '70s PENTAGRAM lineup that also included vocalist Bobby Liebling, bassist Greg Mayne and drummer Geof O'Keefe. His recorded works can be heard throughout the various PENTAGRAM collections.

McAllister was highly respected as a guitarist and person amongst his peers. McAllister had spent the past few years working on material in his home studio and planning to return to playing again with former PENTAGRAM members O'Keefe and Mayne.

man, thats a damn shame. the 2 Pentagram comps on Relapse records are awesome. they were truly the American equivalent to Black Sabbath. I wonder if the stuff he has recently been recording will ever be released.

and rest in peace. Pentagram were a hugely underrappreciated band, but true metal heads understand what their contribution to the world of heavy music was all about. We all gotta go someday, but leaving at age 51 is a downer.

You were one of my favourite guitarist and one of my biggest influence. There are no words to thank you for your music and your inspiring guitar playing. R.I.P. Vince.

To Adamb719: The "First Daze Here" CDs are NOT just b-sides and out-takes. They represent five years of sufference of a great band and a testament for two of them. So please give respect.
Anyway Vince didn't play in Day of Reckoning album.
