PEARL JAM Tape 'Storytellers' Episode

Launch Radio Networks reports: PEARL JAM taped an episode of VH1's "Storytellers" on Wednesday night (May 31) at a small club in New York City, according to a press release. The band followed the program's traditional format by taking questions from the audience and telling the stories behind its songs as it performed new tracks and old hits before a packed crowd at the Avalon nightclub. "VH1 Storytellers: Pearl Jam" will premiere on VH1 on Saturday, July 1 at 10 p.m. ET.
PEARL JAM performed at the Avalon once before, in 1992, when it was known as the Limelight and the band was just beginning to take off.
The group's self-titled eighth studio album currently sits at Number 17 on the Billboard Top 200, having sold 461,000 copies since its May 2 release.
The group plays the second of two shows in East Rutherford, New Jersey tomorrow night (Saturday, June 3) as it continues its North American tour.

Just saw them last night in East Rutherford. They are amazing live, a lot of people started spliteing to get beers or piss when they played the new stuff. The crowd goes nuts when they paly old shit. all in all a great show!

Its funny how many of the comments are about how fucking bad pearl jam is and how much you hate them and are sick of them. I would assume if you hate them, that you dont listen to them, and yet somehow you all know they suck. Its called freedom of choice. You can choose not to listen. You can even choose not to respond to any info about them. They are hardly ever on the radio, tv, in magazines, they dont do videos(not ones you might see, only ones you subject yourself to), and hardly even promote their own music. If you are sick of them, its because you are sick of your OWN CHOICES. Making you sick of yourself, and me sick. You have no opinion, no real reason to hate them. They are bigger and better than any other band you like, and it kills you. If you hate anything about them its their success. They had more than ONE good album as you idiots like to point out. Funny how the same people that hated "grunge" and say pearl jam was the worst "grunge band" are the same imbiciles that say Ten was the only good album. You've got no sence, and no opinion. The new album to me is great. I love them live, and they've never sounded more inspired on stage. So ...dont listen to them, Im glad all of you hate them, it means you wont be at the shows thank god. You wont be missed. Now go back to listening to your band that sell 12,000 albums total, and Ill go back to my sell out, washed up , has been bands that sell hundreds of thousands of cds in the first week. What you consider Metal, is indeed sold out bullshit, a mix of so many things. You just like to think its "metal" when that term is pretty much died in the 80s-90s along with so many bands you thought were cool, then sold out, then got popular again lately so you are back on the bandwagon. I hope you fall off and break your neck you poser wannabe coolies.

about things not being metal on a "metal" site. Its been said a THOUSAND times. Read what interests you and skip over the rest. This site has to stay running, the more traffic the better for them. If its so bad, find a new site. My guess is you wont because they still cover most of the stuff you like, just not all of it. Life isnt fair, grow up.

Right on! couldnt have said it better myself. most of these people on here dont seem to understand that. why post on a band you dont listen to? its a waste of time. its actually kinda scary cause now we see what can happen when people spend too much time in their mothers basement on the net: they have nothing better to do than post on bands they swear suck. funny, yet sad.

i'd like to see a storytellers with some of these "true metal" bands. i could just picture the stories for the songs about all their dragons and demons and viking elves and whatnot. would be pretty entertaining i'm sure.

Believe it or not,one of the greatest bands ever.The facts are laid out on a silver platter.Morons that are blind from hate pretty much show they miss the glam era.You fks can still see your favorite spandex bands.It's just in the local community center instead of arenas.PJ news IS on this site.So haters that leaves 2 choices: a] ignore the article or b]act like a whiney little brat who cries a river when they don't get their way aka ghostrider.
