SEBASTIAN BACH To Open For GUNS N' ROSES In Europe

Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach has posted the following message on his official web site:
"Sometimes in life you make true friends. A true friend is someone whom you can see and then not see, but when you see them again, it is like no time has passed at all. A true friend is someone whom you can laugh with, talk with, hang out with, rock with, and confide in.Then there is the friend who gives you so much you can't express in words how much they mean to you.
"When I look back on my life, I have to say that one of my true friends is Mr. W. Axl Rose. As everyone now knows, when GUNS N' ROSES made their triumphant return to New York City a few weeks ago, Axl was cool enough to invite me onstage all four nights to sing with him the GUNS N' ROSES song of my choice, which happens to be 'My Michelle'. During the NYC shows Axl asked me if I wanted to fly with him to Europe to duet with him in England at Donington and Hammersmith. Of course I said YES and then I mentioned to him the recording of the new CD 'Angel Down' and how much it would mean for our band to open some GUNS N' ROSES shows. Axl's response was to offer the band the whole European tour.
"To say that my mind is blown, or that I am thankful for this opportunity, is so superfluous. I really cannot express how much this means to me.
"Axl Rose is the most honest, genuine, straight-up, and talented person I have ever met in this business, and for him to give my band the chance to rock in front of all his fans is something I will never forget. He is now singing better than ever!
"My personal favorite new GUNS N' ROSES song is 'I.R.S.'
"Last night I jammed with him at Rock Am Ring in Germany in front of 70,000 people after a two-day plane journey which put me in four countries in one day!
"It is gonna be a truly killer summer playing on tour with GUNS N' ROSES and recording the new CD as well!!!

Isn't it considered false advertising? 1 member = the whole band? I don't think so, otherwise we would have had 3 bands called the beatles...
Guns'n'roses were good in their time. Skid row was also.
Axl and Bach do not = these bands they are just "dudes" that were in decent 80's bands and now they ran out of dough and/or missed the lifestyle and want another taste. Don't fuck with us- the only reasonable excuse to tour without original members and call yourselves the same name is if someone dies (listen up Van Halen). I have totally moved on from 80's metal but I would still buy a ticket to a G'N'R show and skid row... The fucking tapes are still in my truck. Just don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.

No original members left except Axl, and you're not even getting the real Axl. His voice is shot...ruined...has no power left in it!
If Axl's new band had any chance of winning over the people, Axl would have to be better than ever. Sadly, Axl is in really bad shape! His vocals are terrible...sounds like half of his vocal chords are paralyzed.
Not to mention, his new band sounds like crap. Can you imagine 7 musicians playing cover songs and sounding that bad? Slash and Duff are truly getting the last laugh here!

I completely agree that this incarnation comes off as a Vegas-type act. Other than the fact that they tour, it's no different than a David Lee Roth playing Van Halen songs in a Vegas show. Hire some musicians, tweak the songs a little and throw in some fancy stage effects...
I think Axl will have to deal with this perception as long as his act is based on covering the older GNR catalogue. What I can't understand is why he would want to play old school GNR songs and face this criticism when he supposedly has all these new songs ready to go. I thought he was the one who wanted to grow musically and leave the past behind? Guess not.

axl hasnt put shit out in years and ppl STILL buzz about him and his music.

Most of the people here that bash GNR don't know a damn thing about GNRhistory. You were all sucking your mommas titties when GNR broke into the scene. All that you know is the November rain video, 1988 ritz and the tokyo videos. You guys see slash with his cool hat and playing the solos and you immediately think he was the driving force of GNR. Thta is not true . Axl Rose and Izzy were the brains of GNR they started the band and wrote GNR's best songs. Slash is a great guitarist if given a song with a foundation. Axl and Izzy provided him with that foundation and guidance. Slash cannot write a good song on his own. Name me a memorable riff that slash has written since leaving GNR. Axl Rose is an amazing songwriter and even Slash has said so himself. Slash has said in numerous occasions that Axl is a musical genius. But of course you close minded teenage pricks would never accept any positive statements concerning Axl Rose even if they came from former bandmates. But if Slash were to come out and Say "Axl sucks " ( which he has never said) then you would all run with it and believe it. You are all nothing but a bunch of fuckin posers that bash Axl because it is " the cool thing to do" . I know most of you hate that a man that hasn't released anything in 13 yrs can all of a sudden crawl out of his hole and get more attention than all your pussy bands combined. That is what is called being legend. Something that you fuckers no nothing about since there will never be a rocker in your generation that will reach that kind of legendary status. Axl Rose is a fuckin legend of rock n' roll and nothing you people say or do will ever change that. In 10 yrs when all your favorite bands are nothing more than a memory in your small brain , Axl Rose will still be richer than all of the haters combined and still hold the status as a rock god who's music will never die.

Firs of all, Guns N' Roses was my first concert at all (back in 1993). So I've seen the "original linup". On Friday I was at Rock Am Ring. And yes people were standing there like "Ok, let's see if he shows up at all". There wasn't even a time announced for the show. But people were standing there and waiting, while it was fucking cold. Then he showed up and this band is "GUNS N ROSES". A little bit harder than before, but great. The only thing people got angry about was the solos, but as this might be related to voice problems. So it's better to have Axl rocking for 15 minutes and taking a break of 3 minutes, then him not having his voice after all. Ok, for me Sebastian could have sung instead of the solos (but that's another story). I love the old members and was a little said Izzy didn't come to the Ring (Axl mentioned he was supposed to). But when you read all those gnr formus where they ask for Bach to be the lead singer of Velvet Revolver, it's funny to see the to best lead singes for "Velvet Revolver" at a GNR concert.
