Ex-KORN Guitarist HEAD: 'It's Time To See Religion Die'

Former KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch ( photo) has announced plans to release a documentary film, "Washed by Blood", and his debut solo album, "It's Time to See Religion Die". According to the film's official synopsis, the "Washed by Blood" story, in a nutshell, "is the unraveling of the man, 'Head', as well as the unraveling of a culture. Head is the multi-platinum winning rock star who takes us on a roller coaster ride to the heights of fame and fortune and then into the pit of hell. Through his unraveling, the true man is revealed... the father, the poet, the musician. Untangled from the encumbrances and lies of materialism, Head comes through with the faith of a child. He has experienced both the highest highs and the ultimate lows. Lows that included drug addiction, ruined relationships, failing at fatherhood. From this darkened inferno, rose a soul...a spirit...a new force...One who will now use his talent to reveal the truth. Through a combination of documentary style-footage, showing life as a recording artist, along with musically inspired dramatizations and that are shot in various formats, in combination with animated vignettes, interviews with former band members and current friends and associates; as well as travel footage from his philanthropy work in India we come to understand how one man, with personal strength and determination could crawl out from the pits of hell and aspire to rise to the heights of a new found life and a new found faith. This is the telling of one man's story, one man's journey...revealed by prophets and destined by God." "It's Time to See Religion Die" is being recorded at the Fortitude Studios in Phoenix, Arizona. The record is a part of a multi-layered franchise consisting of a movie "Washed by Blood", the book "Head Home", 12 music videos, and a full merchandising line being planned in conjunction with his tour. from the title, sounds like head made a round trip
would be nice to see someone "come out" about
how fucked up and unnecessary religion is,
after an in-depth public foray in the religion ranks,
fraternizing and exploring..
then making a bold and heroic announcement..
"IT'S ALL HORSESHIT!!!"
there is no real leader for the agnostic cause
someone could really do well to forge this

Just who would be stupid enough to call their album that? Ok, Head for one. But still. Isn't that a bit too much? So impulsive, I think it's very wrong.
It's like tattoing something--it will stay forever on Head's resume.
An old Head (in the near future):
"Yeah I did that album in 2006... I was a religion freak. Took me 23 more years to realize I was living a lie. My church was bullshit. I should have made a regular solo CD and rejoin KoRn 10 years ago."

Head is so weird, I don't even know what to say.
I thought the guy left Korn because he found God and no longer believed in the rock lifestyle. Now, a year later, he's claiming " religion should die." Yeah, that's a real positive message, Brian!
Now, he's working on a movie about himself. He's working on a book about himself, and is creating a merchandise line about , what else...HIMSELF! What an ego this guy must have.

Christianity, as taught in the 4 Gospels from the sayings of Christ and as evidenced by His Passion, is not an evil thing. Christianity, as exploited for votes, power, and $Money$, is the antithesis of what Christ taught.
As for Head, I wish him the best, especially for his Orphange. I just hope he doesn't become the next Pat Robertson or Steven Baldwin.

Funny that someone should mention the Faith + 1 episode of South Park. If you think about it, what Head has done so far is quite the parallel to what Cartman did. And interestingly enough, Korn was previously on an episode of South Park, so they've already got a connection with Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Head did his thing just over one year after the episode aired. Now he's got a whole merchandising line and marketing scheme planned out. Definitely makes you wonder...
