METALLICA: Better Audio Recording Of New Song Available
- June 7, 2006
|
|
An audience (low-quality) recording of METALLICA performing an as-yet-untitled new song during their headlining appearance Tuesday (June 6) at Waldbuhne in Berlin, Germany has been posted online: Location#1, Location#2, Location#3 (password: www.metallica-world.de), Location#4 (NOTE: With James Hetfield's introduction, the file clocks in at 9:37). As on the first two dates on the band's current "Escape From The Studio '06" tour, METALLICA played their entire 1986 album, "Master of Puppets", at the Berlin show, including rarely performed tracks such as "Orion" and "Disposable Heroes". The concert's second encore also featured a rendition of the RAMONES classic "Commando", with members of support band AVENGED SEVENFOLD joining in on vocals. "Master of Puppets" came out in the spring of 1986 and was METALLICA's first gold album and mainstream success. It featured staples of the band's live set such as "Battery", "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" and the title track. It was also the last METALLICA album to feature bassist Cliff Burton, who was killed later that year in a tour bus crash. METALLICA will head back into the studio to resume work on their ninth studio effort after completing this summer's festival run. (Thanks: www.metworld.de)

I'm astonished - How the hell did this happen? They actually wrote something that could be called metal. Still not crazy about the singing. But the music has greatly improved. I might actually consider buying this album. Some nice double bass, surprisingly :)

I can't believe what I just heard. I didn't know Lars still had it in him to play like that. Actually, I don't think he's ever played like that live. Now let's only hope that Rick Rubin mixes the album right so it sounds fuckin' killer!! Nothing bugs me worse than good music with bad production.

You See!!
Cut Bob Rock out of the equation and METALLICA re-discovers their creativity.
This song is about the closest they've sounded to the "Real" METALLICA, Since some of the songs on "The Black Album".
I can't wait to hear what else they come up with. You know the production will be top notch since Rick Rubin is behind the controls.

this aint old metallica, no one expects it to be, but the fact that they seem to be a little more focused and adding solo's again makes me smile!! I LOVE IT!

Huge improvements over what they had been doing in the last 16 years. The verse singing melody reminds me of a "Practice" era Testament song....can't put my finger on the title though...not bad though for some old fuckers.

So they recycled the St. Anger riff and threw in a guitar solo and and everything is cool now people? Please.
I'm not saying this is completely terrible but give this song a shitty production and it could have been included on the last album. I don't hear a significant difference.

i was expecting something thrshy when i listened to this. I was expecting the old metallica. So i'm not actually that impressed by it all.
And it sounds like a jam song, atm.
I see Kirk still has is foot atched to the wah pedal, its a shame that you can't actually hear the notes. But yeah another solo, glad they haven't decided to do away with 'em again!
Another thing that impressed me was the speed of lars' double pedaling, i'm not too sure, i could be wrong, but that sounds like the fastest his done so far

What the hell are you all flipping out over? It sounds like something off St.Anger with some of the Load/Reload influences mixed in. Hetfield really does sound like shit these days. There's no more real aggression in his vocals, it's all just singing.
Is it an improvement over the stuff on St.Anger? Sure, but it's still not anywhere close to their classic material.

When Iron Maiden reunited with Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith in 1999 it marked the beginning of the resurgence of classic metal. Judas Priest followed and reunited with Rob Halford, Exodus and Death Angel reformed, Snake returned to Voivod, Dave Mustaine decided to carry on as Megadeth, Slayer, Testament and Anthrax revamped their classic lineup and many more reformed, Queensryche recorded Mindcrime II and Helloween kind of released Keepers III. And finally even Metallica decided to move on and part ways with long-time producer Bob Rock.
Add to that Dream Theater who started the current movement of playing entire classic metal albums. Slayer followed with their rendition of RIB and the "Still Reigning"-DVD, Metallica performed MOP and Anthrax ATL.
They're all rediscovering their metal roots, their quality songwriting and musicianship. Maybe the competitions for the best classic metal and perfect thrash metal albums are back on track again. All is good in the world (thanks to metaljudgment.com for inspiration; see Testament's The Gathering review).
I'm quite confident that the new Iron Maiden album will be the best effort in 2006, followed by the likes Slayer, Testament (hopefully this year), Devin Townsend Band, Katatonia, Moonspell, Strapping Young Lad, Killing Joke...
And maybe even Metallica manage to finally record an album that will satisfy elitist (haha!) longtime metal connaisseurs like me - I doubt it though.

Those who said Rick would turn Metallica around called it But I also think that Metallica looked at what Megadeth's The System Has Failed was like vs St. Anger and thought to themselves "What were we thinking?" For those who arent sure about James singing he isnt the best live but in the studio he puts his all in to it

I dunno why everyone is tripping this song sounds like a lost St. Anger track to me. Yes there is some double bass(yay) but all the riffs are still rooted in the shitty "metallica dirty blues style" and James is still applying his "singing lessons" so overall its ok, but not the sound i was hoping for. I love MetallicA. I am disappointed AGAIN.

You all get amazingly excited because there's some double bassdrum parts and some agressive riffing...
But COME ON !
Metallica is not impressive, agressive, evil or anything like they used to be when Justice came out...
Only Slayer seem to be able to remain Slayer after all these years...
And Lars... Except trying to handle some doublekick parts, his playing is mediocre, his fills are inexistant and his overall groove is just shitty...
People can get so emotionnal sometimes...

The only thing good in this song is Kirks Solo. Totally boring, all those breaks just seem like they've been glued together. No dynamics. And that strange "St.Anger-groove"-there... fucking terrible.

I can just picture Lars struggling like a mofo' back there trying to keep the double bass beat :-)
If Metallica is finally waking up after their 17-year slumber, I guess I'll give their next album a shot. I hold no high hopes anymore though, nice way to ease the likely disappointment!

Oehhh a double bass-part. Was there on the song St. Anger. So that's nothing new compared to the last album. All I hear is crappy vocals, repeated riffs throughout the whole goddamn song. Man, this song goes on and on. It could have been 3 minutes.
Let's face it: Metallica made supercool albums, it's still fun to watch them live, but they will never make a decent album again.

However, the mellow bridge, or whatever part it is, doesn't really need to be there. Something about melodic Metallica just isn't right. But, whatever. Everyone can wish, but it just isn't the anger filled early Metallica and it never will be. Lifestyles change, aggression gets lost. Alot of the bands from back then are like this. Memories. Ahh.

"Whoever said Lars Ulrich wasn't a good drummer? When you do something for 25 years, you start getting pretty fuckin good at it. Especiallt after playing songs like Battery and Blackened for 20 years."
Man, get your shit together ok? Lars was a decent drummer up until about 1995. After that a started to downfall further and further. He can't keep pace. If you would put a metronome next to his drumming you'd laugh your ass off.
Compare Live Shit and this Rock am Ring stuff. He totally screws every song up with his drumming. Way too much fills, uncontrolled cymbal crashes and other shit.
The best example is Sanitarium. What the HELL are you doing there Lars? It's supposed to be soft in the verses, but even there you are pounding away with all sorts of stupid fills and cymbal crashes, making it hard to listen to. Just play the songs the way they are supposed to be!!!

Throughout Metal's history, Metallica has always been completely different from what music was like at that time. Kill em all - introduction of metal, Master of Puppets - nuff said, Black Album - masterpiece, even Load and Reload - sounds like no one else whatsoever, St. Anger - although is was so-so, sounded like no one else in the business, the new shit - sounds like no one else. Every time Metallica writes an album, somebody tries to copy their style.
Bottom line, Metallica is fucking timeless.

I've been a fan since the early 80's. This song is ok musically, but wheres the agression? It's almost as a metal version of some of the songs on "load". James is a brilliant vocalist when he does what he knows best, yelling in key. Not like on this song where he tryes to sing melodious to a heavy song.

Lars is not a bad drummer, you can't be bad when playing for 25 years + - Lars is a lazy drummer, who don't practice and is too old to learn new tricks. That's his problem.

Gotta hear it in the studio before I can really pass judgement, but its really not that much different than St. Anger. They threw in a solo. But I didn't hate St. Anger like most people, so that's not necessarily trashing the song. I just think my taste in music has moved on, I guess.

After 15 years of shit I'm just not ready to sing praises of a band that let me down consistantly. There is a slight glimmer of hope with this song but I'm not jumping on the band wagon just yet. This is a good song but I'm waiting for the CD.
Since we can download this song, will Lars sue all of us? Or will the swedish meatball see that this song may bring his band back to the top of the fallen throne? I'm waiting for my subpoena any day now.

"maybe you should try listening to st.anger again. take the solo out and throw a crappy sounding snare in and you have a st anger song."
Yep. Sounds to me like a mix of a Black Album song and a St. Anger song. Metallica have just confirmed they have a steaming pile of shit in the works for us, yet again. Drum beats from St. Anger, vocals from Load, a lead that sounds like every other lead Kirk's ever played... fuck that's dissappointing.

Umm... Metallica have ripped off plenty of bands, especially in the early days. They've even gone on record and admitted it plenty of times. Sanitarium was practically written by another band! Black album? A masterpiece? HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
What's the next thing you're going to say? Pantera was original too? Don't make me laugh.
This song is pretty good though.

I am not even a fan of Metallica, and I think they were right when they sued Napster. The issue were not bootlegging, but downloading of studiorecorded material. Since this is a bootleg from a live concert, this is something Metallica always have supported. Actually, I think they said from day one, that they supported bootleg trading. But the napster issue were a case about people downloading studiorecorded albums. (KEA, RTL,MOP, And justice... and so on)- So they will not sue ;)

Big lie... they sounded like NWOBHM bands in the beggining... they were awesome, but not original, they got their own style later, that´s true, but Load and Reload are very inspired by Corrosion of Conformity (that´s what James was heavily into at the time, he even sang on their Wiseblood album) Load and Reload are pop alternative rock albums inspired by stoner rock but way softer, just listen to the riffs, they are Sabbath and COC-esque but way softer. I like those records, I think they´re good, but original? Hell no...

I am always amazed reading anything metallica in blabbermouth. Lot of smacktalking the guys, but I don't understand why? If half the people talking shit about them actually meant what they said, they wouldn't even bother posting.
WTF?
I have a band, we get critisized all the time. Know what, we don't give two shits. I'm sure Metallica doesn't either, so why waste your time posting? I think Metallica is the only band on blabbermouth that gets as many posts as it does. LOL, that's recognition. They may not be the best Metal band around anymore, but they put on a hell of a show. Kudos.
As far as the new song, sound promising. Of course not polished, and James is croaking here and there with the vocals, but I like the overall feel of the song, I'm sure with practice and some polish, this may be yet another beginning for the boys from the bay.

Sounds a lot like St. Anger, especially since it's HORRIBLY unfocused. Some of the riffs are good, but so much of it just sounds like three or four unconnected riffs that they threw together to make a song, a la System of a Down. The thing that made their melodic songs work was a degree of dynamic control (Fade to Black, One, even Bleeding Me), and the fact that they took the time to work out the transitions between riffs. If you lose that, it's just a bunch of riffing.
That said, when it drops into the heavier, stompy sort of riffs, the lack of transition works in a few places. But the song really should have ended somewhere after the post-solo riff. Probably around 6:45 or so, which, I think would have made it the 5:30 mark in the song itself.
WHICH IS WHERE EVERY SONG ON ST. ANGER SHOULD HAVE ENDED.

were any other band, people would say the song sucks. No matter who is doing it, it sucks. It sounds like St Anger 2 and Metallica continue to show that they've lost it. When they can do an album equivalent of Testament's The Gathering, that's when I'll be excited. Testament made arguably one of their best albums after being around for 20 years. Today Metallica wouldn't even be able to play a song off of The Gathering.

This song is way more complex, varied and heavy - than Slayer's Cult. Don't get me wrong... "Cult" is fine... but gets boring soooo fast! Same old, same old Slayer...
Metallica keep on writing new music... the intro to this song, the double-bass, the solo and the melody... SOUND KICK ASS!
Deal with it bashers...
This is a work in progress... and I do hear some parts that could be left out ... but this is by far the best song since No Leaf Clover and... dare I say it: Enter Sandman!?
To those who think that metal is only about going fast (ala Slayer, Exodus and Kreator)... you guys need to get a broader perspective on things.
And by the way...
Metallica never labeled themselves as "thrash"... the media did... they were/are METAL! And metal is a very diverse concept...
Cheers to Metallica for impressing the hell out of people... even if some won't admit it!

It's perfectly ok to criticise what a big band is doing. If it sucks, it sucks. It has nothing to do with what they've done previously, does it? If this would be their first song, nobody would dig it. People only dig it because it's Metallica. But what the hell, you're just too stupid to understand.

A big improvement to St Anger but definately not what most people wanted. But not everyone gets what they want.
The whole song seems to drag. The 2 second bit at the very end, at 9.13, is probably the best bit of the whole song. Hopefully they'll have stuff like them 2 seconds on the new album... but longer!

As a long time Metallica fan who loves their old material and despises their new stuff I can tell you this new shit fucking sucks. If their new album sounds this way I will definately not buy it.
Here is a list of things I thought sucked about this song:
1. The downtuned guitars! Play in standard tuning for christ sakes! It doesn't make you sound heavier, that shit belongs in nu-metal not Metallica! I want my Metallica in standard tuning!
2. I don't like the sound of the non crunchy guitar part james plays in this song, it sucks and reminds me of St. Wanker!
3. James vocals are gay and have been since he had his throat blow out during the Black Album
4. The leads were decent but had alot of "wah" which makes it suck
5. The drum sound reminded me of St. Anger minus the "bong, bong, bong" sound, the double bass of the song did not enhance it for me. Lars needs to take some lessons from Dave Lombardo.
Overall the song took me nowhere and was very repetitive to say the least. I don't hold any high hopes for the new album, I think it will be another let down.
DON'T BE DUPPED INTO BUYING THEIR NEW SHIT UNLESS THEY MAKE SOME DRASTIC IMPROVEMENTS!

I'm probably one of the biggest Metallica fans on this Earth and I know this song isn't anything spectacular but then again, the song is in such an early process that the guys probably even know the song wasn't 100%. There could be lyric changes, they might cut down the song to about 5 or 6 minutes. Anything new they play now has to be taken with a grain of salt because the songwriting and creating process is in such an early stage. I think they just wanted to play a new song to keep people interested and to show that they have been working...

The lyrics he was singing weren't even the real lyrics. If I was to rate this song i would rate it not as good as the old shit but way better than Load, Reload, St. Anger and maybe the Black Album.

I've been listening to Metallica since '84. I loved all their pre-Black Album stuff, & thought the Black Album & Load had some really good songs on them (altho they did have some dead weight too). I wasn't thrilled w/ Re-load (I only liked two songs) but figured they were allowed to have at least one bad album. St. Anger was a huge disappointment both in terms of the horrible production & the song-writing. Not only did the songs sound like a bunch of riffs just thrown together but the lyrics were terrible. They were almost juvenile compared to some of their earlier work. This new song sounds like it could be left over from St. Anger. I don't expect them to go back & make another MOP or RTL. I like it when a band expands its horizons & doesn't always re-hash the same sound. But I still expect to hear some good music. This is not good. I'll stick with Katatonia, Dark Tranquillity, etc.

Good god. James sounds like an American Idol reject these days on vox. That was truly awful.
Just wait until the midget gets into the studio and pulls out his infamous tin can kit - complete with double-oil-drum bass. I see St. Anus II in the works.
And the lemmings will mass once again and be parted with their hard, fast-food-earned cash.

I'll say it. That tune was pretty FUCKING badass for Metallica, and they could still tweak it a little bit before they lay it down for the final product. The vocals weren't spectacular, but then James hasn't been on the mark in years. I'm not gonna' jump off a cliff with any idiot fanboys, but if the rest of the new material is as good or better than that tune, I'd be happy to plunk down the loot for it. It's got nothing to do with integrity or fucking credibility either, if it rocks, fuck it! Why not?

I'm sure a lot of people realize this is not final, myself included. But I am sure I am not the only one who has ever heard them demo new songs or parts of songs. I can think of three off the top of my head - I heard them play a version of Fuel back on the Load along with parts of The Memory Remains. Those trial versions still sounded cool even if they weren't perfect. Back on the Monsters of Rock tour they were playing Harvester of Sorrow. I saw them play that in Philly & they crushed, even when the song wasn't complete. Say what you will to defend this new song, a live recording, a work in progress, whatever, it still is not a good song.
BTW, this is just my opinion, you are certainly entitled to yours.

1-Maybe solo wasn't totally writin yet, therefore the wah. 2.Lyrics always change, as does tone of voice...trying to see what fits and what doesn't, if anything. 3.Played for the FIRST time 'live'. Cut some slack. 4.Playing w/ arrangement still. 5.Overall, the nuts n bolts o it are very good.
Look, its a brand new song, not cut into stone. It's very good and promising. If you like it, listen. If not, don't.

1. The downtuned guitars! Play in standard tuning for christ sakes! It doesn't make you sound heavier, that shit belongs in nu-metal not Metallica! I want my Metallica in standard tuning!
Who gives a shit what tuning its in? I guess Alice in Chains suck because omg they tune a half step down!

Now, I will probably regret this - I am not one for sticking up for Metallicash - But this sounds nothing like St. Anger, the slow part is the only St. Anger there is about this song. Regarding Slayer, because they are being brought up constantly. While they thrash all the way through and play ligthning fast, they sound boring. You can't really use their music to anything but getting your rage out. There's no real melody, the riffs are simple and played real fast to sound cool, which they really don't. Dave Lombardo is so fucking cool on the drums, but he is the only good thing about Slayer. If I have to compare the two, Metallicash wins, because they atleast have some fucking cool melodies and riffs on their early shit - Slayer, that's just noise. IMO

Whatever they're paying Rick Rubin, double it.
If you think Rubin's not involved at this stage, you're wrong.
And if you're worred about Hetfield's singing, dont'. He's on the road so he's going to hold back. Rick will kick his ass when the time is right.

If that's beyond you, then I feel sorry for you. You obvouisly have no respect for other peoples music taste. What mine is, is none of you business. But it's not Metallicash(Well, back in the old days I were a fan), and it is not Slayer.
If you can disrespect someone elses band, e.g Metallicash, then why can't anyone disrespect your band? Sounds to me like you have to grow up, learn to talk respectfully to other people and mind your own business if you can't fathom that people have different music taste.
Some people, it's just laughable.

Ok...this song sucks. It's everything Metallica has done badly for the last 15 years, distilled into one overly long, uninspiring song. The intro riff sounds like "Fuel" replayed at half speed, the supposedly awesome double bass is out of time and has no connection to the riff it's playing beneath (it doesnt change the tempo of the riff in the least, and in fact, when the intro part returns, Lars sounds like he isn't playing with the band on the same SONG, much less the same part. Away from that, the drums are virtually identical to every Metallica song since Load and the solo is the same damn wah-wah pedal work out Hammett has done since the Black album
I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt and say this is a work in progress, but honestly, even an edited version of this would be subpar even to the Load material. The riffs are clumsy, and even if they edit the song, the individual parts lack enough coherence to make a decent song.
I can't believe so many people are saying this proves they're back. Business as usual to me.

but I'm not going to comment on Het singing as opposed to growling keeping in mind that he's NOT doing this in the studio and the band TECHNICALLY is not recording the album yet therefore he has no real reason to growl yet. I'm assuming when he gets the gravel in his gut again (growls) that the song will sound much crispier.
So far the new album is shaping up to be an improvement from St.Anger. I like the solos but I do fear that due to the lack of them in St.Anger they will saturate the new album TOO much with them but honestly if it's GREAT like this tune is shaping up to be then I'll eat my goddamn words.
Sure,I thought Load\Reload were good but Metallica is capable of better (i.e this track) So,if this is the road they are traveling down adding more songs like sound as this one does I'm thinking the new album will be VERY great.
I know I'm still hearing the new album is coming out BEFORE 2006 ends from the very same source that told me MOP was going to be played in it's entirety at some point on the Escape From The Studio tour.
So far,I'm a first day buyer.

Go listen to Jesus being bad and genocide along with erratic arrangement and god awful vocals. Whoever the fuck thinks James sings off key knows shit. It may be 500 octaves higher than the guitar but its till in key. A C is a C no matter where it is in any cleff.

And you're slowly
Ruining the already average music

Why do so many of you have such a hrd-on for this track? Sure its better than anything they have done in a LONG time, but its still avrage at best. Its tough to even refer to it as Metal, its more like hard rock. James can sing worth shit, this track being a prime example. I will however give props to Lars, he sounds great. Memo to Metallica: TIME FOR ANOTHER THEARAPY SESSION, SO GO CRY ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY YOU HAVE AND HOUW TOUGH LIFE IF. BOO FUCKING HOO. Stop waisting our time with sub-par music, or better yet, just change your name already so that we never again have to compair any of this B.S "bubble-gum metal" to any of your legendary tracks of yesteryears.

If they chopped about 5 minutes out of this slogfest it might be ok. Keep the solo and the faster parts but the verses are terrible both musically and vocally. I was suffering trying to get through the last 2 minutes, I just wanted it to be over. I fail to see what some people are cumming in their pants over, this is not a good song let alone a great one.

Love the new Metallica Song! To me it sounds like A mixture of a lot of old Metal songs. Somebody mentioned in an earlier post that it sounded like Testament on Practice What You Preach. It actually starts out (James vocals) sounding like Face in the Sky off of Souls of Black from 1990. Can't wait for the new album!

James Hetfield's vocal is almost just like his old vocal from Ride the Lightning! That is why James have been working on his vocal duties from Some Kind of Monster Video and that is what he is doing it! He is trying to bring back his old vocal! and also just like what Dark Deception above, James also sounded like Chuck from Testament! (testament rules!!) Dark Deception was right about that to!!!
so get over it you fucking gay haters!

As someone who totally digs Metallica's old stuff, I think this is quite good, and definetly has a Testament feel to it. The song sounds like Face In The Sky, stuff off of The Ritual and the solo part reminds of of Practice What You Preach. The vocals I think don't sound too bad remember he has never sounded good live, but I think it's good, and maybe this is the rebirth of Metallica, who shall find out.

OK, so this is my first post in this digital sewage, but I had to say something about this.
What the hell do you expect!!? This has no comparison to St. Anger, its has a lot more variety, dynamics, better riffs and overall, much better than anything of that record. The only comparison is that the guitars might be downtuned somewhat, but thats nothing to me as long as the song rocks as much as this one. Sure, this aint no thrashy song, even if it does have some cool double bass, but Metallica never was an exclusive thrash band. not even on MoP or Justice.
Is it because its Metallica? "Oh, the band who sued Napster and released Load, so I gotta think anything they do is crap!" Its true St. Anger sold a lot of records just beacus it had the name Metallica, but its also true, IMO, that the name Metallica spawns a lot of shitty, unreasonable comments from metalheads.
Personally, I believe that this song signals a return to being a great metal band (but still different from their older records, they never gonna relase MoP again, so open your minds people!)

I can't stop listening to this and "Cult."
That's the last I'll talk about Slayer in this post cause honestly... METALLICA'S BACK!
Man, it was the best career move to get Bob Rock cause it opened them to a huge audience and I think it was an even better move to kick his ass to the curb. If only they did that while Jason was in the band.
This song makes me throw the horns without even thinkin about it. That's a clear sign this song's fucking awesome.
Welcome back, boys! I'm sure you'll come to open arms and beers (or maybe not).

It's pretty good. Not like St. Anger at all.
I think a lot of people are saying its the BEST THING EVER because they want it to be. They used to like Metallica, and however much they flame they just want a good new album. This is the first signs of that.
It's not amazing, but it is an improvement. If this makes it to the album, I'll look much forward to hearing it produced.

I love how all of a sudden Metallica rules again. Most people on this website arnt really Metallica fans. I also find it funny how kids think they are musical gods on this website.
Metallica owns everyone here period, and saying metallica sucks, slayer 4 life doesnt make either band better than the other, and it makes you look like a moron.
For this people who arnt just hopping on the band wagon, yea this song is awsome. I said at the Metclub forums I think that this CD will be the RTL of the new age/sound of metal.

Is a nice, slow blowjob. It starts of in a good way, and it slowely gets better. There are a few parts where maybe she scraped her teeth on your thing, or maybe wasn't doing her best, but damn by the end it was great.
The beginning reminds me of "Harvester of Sorrow", and then it's just a mix of TBA, Load, and the "first four". I love it.
And for people who say the lyrics suck... Well, it's in concert! You can't expect a band who's been doing Metal for 20+ years to do a perfect version of their new song which they've never done in concert. They're doing this for the first time, and this crowd is going to dictate how good the song is. It's nerve racking. But they did a good performance, I just wish I could understand the lyrics.

This sounds like Korn - Self Titled, perfected. Listen very carefully, and then listen to a song from Korn's first CD(aside from double bass, but the bassist made the double bass sound). Very similar. Noy denying it. I love it. its fucking awesome.

This song is pure crap just like the last 3 cd's and the only reason Metallica was so damn good on the first two was because Dave Mustaine wrote the fing things. I have always been a fan of Metallica along with the almighty Megadeth but the music Metallica now makes is complete garbage and made just for radio play. If you want to listen to a a new cd with complex structures, aggression and and pure shredding solo's then but the new Megadeth. Mustaine constantly proves that he will always have more talent in his little finger than the whole Metallica world. Screw Metallica and all of thier stupid little teenage fans that do not know real metal.
