GODSMACK, ROB ZOMBIE Tour Dates Announced - June 7, 2006
As BLABBERMOUTH.NET first reported on April 26, GODSMACK have now officially confirmed that they will be teaming up with ROB ZOMBIE for a North American co-headlining tour beginning in late August.

According to MTV.com, GODSMACK drummer Shannon Larkin said this fall tour is the band's way of thanking its fans for being so loyal — and generous with their dough.

"Debuting at #1 [with GODSMACK's new album, 'IV'] was a testament to our fanbase," he said. "They ran out and bought the album the first week and made us #1, which, you know, we will give back to them this fall when we come back on tour. We'll give back to crowd for going out and buying our record and making us #1. We're bringing the biggest show we've ever brought to America, and we're going to be bringing ROB ZOMBIE out with us. So, it's going to be an amazing thing. Hopefully, we can return the love to our rabid fanbase, and so we have to bring a great show to these people."

In a statement, GODSMACK frontman Sully Erna said that the band's "fans should expect the biggest GODSMACK spectacle yet. This tour will be a virtual, visual, and aural circus. Expect the unexpected when we hit your town." According to a press release, ZOMBIE will be setting the stage during each stop on the tour, turning the venue "into a funhouse of mystery and madness as creatures walk the stage of pyrotechnics, smoke, and mirrors. This is a no-holds barred show so hold on for the ride."

what did everyone think about their Judas Priest tribute melody on the VH-1 Rock Honors???

I finally saw it last night and I must say I was rather impressed...way more impressed than what the All American Rejects did with Def Leppards "Photograph"

Ouchhhh...I still cringe thinking about that one.

Another show at the bullshit HiFi Buys Ampitheater!

I hate that fucking venue; it's built for ClearChannel's bullshit. It will take Slayer/Children of Bodom/Mastodon to coax me into that corporate whorehouse.

I've always liked Godsmack, but this new album really proves that they are out of steam. "IV" is a steaming pile of crap, except for the single, "Speak". It sounds like a group of millionaires took their sweet ass time making this in between real estate transactions, and spent very little time jamming together.

Undriven, and terrible. Yeah, I bought it on opening day, but now I want my money back. Ministry's new album owns the shit out of "IV".

an Alice in Chains cover band. The first time I saw them, they were a shitty Alice in Chains Cover Band. Sully was playing the drums. And even with their "new" material, they are still a shitty Alice in Chains cover band. So here's a little rock lesson kids, this is how godsmack became famous. They recorded 9 original tracks and got themselves a manger. The original singer was booted and Sully took over. The manager they got also happened to sell coke. There was a certain Douchebag DJ at a once great radio station in Boston (Rocco at WAAF) who really, really, really liked his coke. He got in a bit of a sticky wicket over his coke habit, so he agreed to spin Godsmack to pay off his debt. And the rest, as they say is history. The worst part of the whole thing is that I have actually seen interviews with Sully where he denies that Godsmack was ever an Alice in Chains cover band. Why the fuck do you think they have the name Godsmack? Sully, you suck, your music sucks, and your a goddamn fraud.
