MATCHBOX TWENTY Singer Confirms He Has Submitted Song To AEROSMITH - June 8, 2006
MATCHBOX TWENTY singer Rob Thomas has confirmed to Billboard magazine that he has submitted a song that's being considered for AEROSMITH's next album. "But," he added, "just because you write a song doesn't mean it's going to wind up on a record."

AEROSMITH's new album is reportedly being produced by Steve Lillywhite, who has worked with U2 and MORRISSEY. The band entered the studio on May 20 to begin laying down tracks.

In other AEROSMITH-related news, the Boston Herald is reporting that the group's frontman, Steven Tyler, was seen "hobbling" out of Mass. General Hospital on Tuesday, June 6 with a cast on his ankle. Steven, who had to cancel the band's spring tour because of throat surgery, was accompanied by his new galpal, tour promoter Erin Brady.
