METALLICA: Photos From Arnhem Posted Online; DOWNLOAD Setlist Revealed

METALLICA played a headlining show at the Gelredome in Arnhem, Holland on Thursday, June 8 as part of their ongoing "Escape From The Studio '06" tour. Check out pictures from LFI. As has been the case with all the previous concerts on the band's current European tour, METALLICA played their entire 1986 album, "Master of Puppets", at tonight's Download festival at Donington Park, Leicestershire, England, including rarely performed tracks such as "Orion" and "Disposable Heroes". The concert's second encore also featured a rendition of the MISFITS classic "Die, Die My Darling", with members of TRIVIUM and other bands joining in on vocals. how many of u actuallyl have LISTENED to any metalcore? it is no where near as bad as you all put it out to be. sure, its commercial, but id rather metalcore from america than nu metal.

james looks to have aged 10 years. Yea , he does look like that Lenny too. Frankly , we should give up on a good new album from metallica, megadeth, priest, maiden, scorpions, and the list goes on. Metallica are still a good live draw, but they have to play all of their old stuff or the audience would leave. Iron maiden can seem to get away with playing full new albums, but i guess their material is still a cut above. James and Co. shoud accept their mantle as the Rolling Stones of metal. Its not so bad. and really no one else could be. Let go of the dream of a good cd and enjoy the live shows. They can slide for the next 20 years on the old material. Just like a def leppard , who are the stones of pop metal.

I have noticed that things that have the word "core" attached to it suck. It is either metal or it is not. Also adding the word metal in front of thing do not make it better. METALcore sucks! METALlica sucks.
The pics look gay and the song sounds retarded.

Please someone explain to me what the fuck is up with trivium?
I bought ascendacy when it first came out because i read in a guitar magazine that trivium whare one of those metal bands that started playing solos again. And it was areally ok cd.
however
If you read all the magazines all over the world you would think that these motherfuckers are the best band in the world.
I happen to live in the uk but i am reading many english and american heavy metal and guitar magazines and all i hear is trivium trivium trivium.
I thought these asses where selling 5 million records per day.
And then i checked what the fuck they are actualy selling. Dude the best they have done is being in the 150th something spot in billboard.
In flames are on the 50th something spot and i still don't see any magazine getting wet for them.
The fuckin press made these guys(trivium) look like theyare the new hope of metal and shit when they are just another band.
They are really desperately trying to promote them.
However the truth is that these fucks just have a good publishist that puts their opictures in all the magazines of the globe to make them look cool and huge.
FUCK THEM
And what the fuck. Kirk hammett was wearing a trivium t shirt in the gig?????????????? eeeee?????? what????? how?????
What is the name of trivium's manager ?
Maybe i will call him and ask him to make me look like a metal god too.
And has anybody seen the way matt Iffy is singing at gigs now?
To me, that is the sound of selling out , really early on.

But to belive it, you either are deaf or you don't buy metal records at all and even don't like Metal.
Because WHEN IN THE FUCK did solos dissapear from Metal? Can anyone tell me?
I have been buying metal records all "this" time and since like forever, and all of them have solos. Metal records have solos. They have always had solos.
Don't expect a fucking solo on a BasseballcapWiggaRapMetalNuCoreshit band. That's why there haven't been any. Because is not Metal.
If you are a little kid or someone who thinks Mtv and UK Metal Hammer and Kerrang! are good sources for Metal info, you are wrong, and you swalllow all the hypes. I always get a buzz in my ear when I see a band that is promoted all the way up by the magazines and radios and I don't even know them. They always come out from nowhere and go straight to the top doing NOTHING. When a good band is a GOOD band, the word spreads itself among the TRUE Metalheads.
Its always the same marketing propaganda.

was at that festival, Metallica were absolutely amazing, don't care what anyone says about them, they're still the Kings or Dons or whatever. New song was quite cool, some nice riffs in there and a good bridge/interlude with a solo and etc... bit long i guess, need to listen to it again though.
fuck all the haters, go start your own band and try and get where they've gotten.

I was at Donington and Metallica were fucking brilliant. After all the bashing of James's voice it was on top form and so were the rest of the band. I went to see Trivium after all the hype but only stayed for a few songs because I didn't like their sound - technically they were brilliant but their songs have melodies that sound as if they come from indie and emo i.e. no meaty fast fuck-off riffs that true thrash and metal bands provide.
Henry Rollins was fucking excellent giving a great speech that made my day.
And Hatebreed on Sunday were fucking heavy and perfect for a hot sunday morning!

You ever been to a festival? you seen the whole line-up fo this year? The only bands I would have liked there were Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax - oh shit they were there last year!
