Finland's THYRANE have officially split up, according to a posting on the band's web site. All previously announced shows have been cancelled and there are no plans to play any "farewell" concerts.
THYRANE's latest album, "Travesty of Heavenly Essence", was released last November via Spikefarm Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Hypnotic" was recorded and mixed by Ahti Kortelainen at Tico-Tico studios in Kemi, Finland and was mastered at Finnvox Studios by Mika Jussila.

Black Harmony, their first EP, was a pretty cool slice of raw, thrashy black metal - but then they went and jumped on the symphonic bandwagon, laying it on even thicker with the Satanic gobbledygook, lyrics and posturing, not to mention keys that sounded more carnival than charnel-house.
the sad, ironic thing is, if they'd stuck with their original sound, it might've stood out a bit more against the hordes of same-sounding symphonic BM acts...
