GUNS N' ROSES: Short Video Clip Of DOWNLOAD Performance Posted Online

A two-minute video clip of GUNS N' ROSES performing at the Download festival in England Sunday night (June 11) has been posted online at YouTube.com. As previously reported, GUNS N' ROSES were joined at the show by their former guitarist Izzy Stradlin for three songs — "Patience", "Night Train" and "I Used To Love Her". It was only Stradlin's second show back with the band in over a decade, following an appearance in New York last month. As was the case with the New York shows last month and some of the festival appearances on the current European run, former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach joined GUNS N' ROSES on stage for "My Michelle". GUNS N' ROSES took the stage half an hour early, but Rose easily made up the time in a series of sensational walk-offs, according to NME.com. After slipping over during "Sweet Child O'Mine", Rose annnounced that the band were experiencing "technical difficulties" and left the stage for five minutes while a guitarist played an instrumental version of "Don't Cry". The singer had already abandoned the show once before, leaving the crowd with an instrumental version of CHRISTINA AGUILERA's hit "Beautiful". And he threatened to leave the stage after "Better" if the crowd persisted in throwing bottles.

I just don't get it, Why is everyone gaga over this fool. He should have never tried to carry this band on. The rest of the guys moved on and they have a desent band. I kinda lost interest after the 1st record. All the drama from Assxl with the name the songs kicking this one out . This a boy with a problem. Did I say hit in the had , I wanted to say head but had a problem saying it because I don't feel axl has a head on his shoulders. He shows up late and for shows and fans had to leave early or stayed and had to find a way home. He shows up early and people miss the start of the show. He walks off stage and takes breaks whenever. I know it's his show but come on why torture your fans. People you don't have to stand for this shit, If you still like this ass just watch the videos and turn him off when you want. You people made this boy the ass that he is. He stomps his feet and leaves a show, He wont come back on and the place starts a riot. He has no brains and the only one he cares about is himself. A selfish piece of shit,, thats what he is....I'm not done yet, Everytime I see a posting I'm gonna post my thoughts..

Despite some minor problems yesterday he did complete the show and had a strong finish . I don't think what you wrote applies to Axl of 2006. He has done like 15 shows this tour and has completed each one without cancellation. yeah he's been late several times during this tour but he has still played . Being late is what Axl does if you don't like it don't go to the shows that is what i always say. I think it's stupid when people go to these shows and complain about punctuality. They know this about Axl yet they still complain about it. By the way Axl has taken the stage on time the last 2 shows so that is good . You must have a very sad life if all you do is wait for GNR topics on Blabbermouth just to bash a man you hate. looks to me that you are the one with the problem not Axl. While you are here talking bullshit Axl is somewhere fuckin some hot chick. I suggest you spend your time supporting your favorite band , that is what a real rock fan does.

...he also offered me a backstage pass to London if I replied - which I didnt because I was already in London without my laptop. He then put my name on the Donnington guestlist... but again I didnt have my pissing laptop so didn't know about it Hope he joins them on July leg of tour now.
Anyway, Izzy will be at all GNR dates between 11th and 21st so hope you Izz fans can get to a show.

I've been praying for izzy to join GnR at least by Prague, and it seems he is...
The bottom line is this: If Axl is singing well, which by all accounts he is singing very well, better than early 90s shows, then he is still going to put on a great show. I have read the reviews from every show on the tour so far, and they are all stellar. Every criticism comes from the new musicians sounding a bit different here or there, but that Axl nails every song he sings. That's pretty fucking amazing, and for everyone else who just hates to hate, go see a show. If you used to like GnR and the man can still sing, then that's all that matters. You can't re-create the original line-up if the majority don't want to play together any more. You have what you have... people go to see Queen w/out Freddy Mercury, or Lynrd Skynrd with their new singer, and that in my book is way lamer than seeing GnR WITH Axl, but without other original gunners.... man, all I know is that I have been waiting for this show for months, and with each positive review i read, tonight's show should prove to be no different. Axl can still sing, like it or not... albeit with some oxygen breaks... Fucking ozzy osbourne still goes out there, and people line up to see that old fuck, and I went and saw him and he sucked!! So as long as Axl is still pleasing crowds with the music, and earning the sellouts and good reviews, shut the fuck up... or don't. I don't care either way. I'm on my way to a concert that symbolizes my youth, and as long as it rocks, i'm going to sleep happy and wait for the Chili Peppers concert tomorrow night.... you stupid fucks.

Ok evry1, I was there in the front row at the barrier during that show, the first time Axl left the stage WAS cos of technical difficulties. I was watching him, he did slip over, but carried on playing, but halfway through the song his mic kept cutting out and he kept looking ova at the sound guys, He then announced they were havin technical difficulties and left, + u could see him gettin stressed at some of the sound guys at the side of the stage, then he came bk on after bout 4 mins. A couple of songs after that, the mic cut out durin you could be mine, + u could c axl singing but there was no sound from his mic, + he was getting stressed again at the sound guys. Then there was a guitar solo while it was sorted. AFTER THAT IT WASN'T AXL THAT THREATENED 2 LEAVE THE STAGE IT WAS ONE OF THE GUITARISTS COS HE GOT HIT BY A BOTTLE OF PISS IN THE FACE!! That was after Better in which Axl didn't move round much + was obviously pissed at the mic and whatever, and evry1 thought they were gonna leave but they didn't and after that evrything went back 2 normal. Having said that later after that Axl had 2 get a different mic, I think from one of the guitarists stands until the sound guys could fix the problem. the reports that he stormed off cos he slipped r absolute BULLSHIT. He went off cos his sound guys were SHIT. And he then played a fucking awesome show in which he joked with the audience, and joined in chants of 'Izzy, Izzy!!'As a laugh after the crowd started them up again 4 the fourth time as Izzy reappeared on stage. Axl brought back Izzy so he can write some more great songs and then he'll piss him off like he did before and he'll fire the whole band after he gets everyones money and while firing the band all the right to the band and everything coming in goes right into axlholes pocket. I cant believe that more cant see this coming. Like I said before all GNR needs now is a new singer and they'll make a fucking great tribute band and then they can move to Long Island...........

Face it. The last great true rock star is back. His voice is awesome and his new band is so cool. Yes he acts like a dick so many times but thats what rock stars do sometimes. I travelled from greece to see him at download festival and now I know I would even travel to New Zealand to see him. He was a god of rock up there.
And you know what? When you want to make a come back and you play at the biggest festival in Europe, its natural to get angry if the sound is bad or the floor slippy.
So for once more... there isnt something bigger ppl. Unfortunately new bands cant write songs to surpass Maiden, Guns, Metallica, AC/DC. At least not yet. So support these great bands cause these are still the ones who rock hard. And I know you prefer great music to modest attitude.

gnrgirl2006 comment was right I was near the front too and Axl was not the big knob it was the bassist who came on the mic to complain.
Axl did nothing wrong at Download, he appeared early, he rattled some classics off, he sung really well (his voice is still amazing even all this time), he joked about and thanked evryone at the end they even had coneffetti with the paradise city, whats not to like about that!
