PAUL STANLEY Signs Solo Deal With UNIVERSAL MUSIC - June 15, 2006
KISS frontman Paul Stanley has inked a deal with Universal Music to release his new solo CD, "Live to Win", in September.

Stanley's first non-KISS release since his self-titled 1978 album (issued in tandem with solo projects from the other three original KISS members) features contributions from session drummer Victor Indrizzo, guitarist Corky James, former MARILYN MANSON and current ROB ZOMBIE guitarist John 5, former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick (who plays bass on a few songs) and noted string arranger David Campbell. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Wake Up Screaming", "Second to None", "Live to Win", "Bulletproof", "Where Angels Dare" and "Lovin' You Without You Now".

In a February 2006 interview with ABC News, Stanley revealed that he is planning a tour to support the CD, and said he'll be bringing out a bigger band than he's used at past solo gigs, "because there's a lot more going on on this album." He estimated he'll have about six people in his band. As for the musicians he used during the recording of "Live to Win", Stanley said, "[It's] some friends of mine — it's not a 'who's who.' I didn't want to do one of those albums where you list people and it becomes some sort of a, trying to impress everybody with names. So it's a great album. Everybody loves it."

Paul Stanley is absolutlely bi-sexual. Whether he is married today or not, he was definitlely sucking cock throughout the 70's, 80,s, 90's through today. Don't be fooled by KISS's "lifestyle" p.r. bullshit.

I've been looking forward to hearing Paul Stanley's solo since he started talking about it. It should be good.

I can't wait to see the tour. I understand clownfrown will be blowing choad and gulping man-milk for beer money at each and every show during the tour. I hope he's cute!!

"wonder if the critics or Al Bundy will like it..."

Nobody gives a shit about either. Remember, the only album that the critics liked was "The Elder", so what's that tell you? The critics don't know if Paul puts out something good or not - WE do. We know if he's writing and performing up to par. Look at his '78 solo album. I give it 85% great music, 15% shit. No offense to Paul, because for one thing, I don't have to like everything he does, and two, they had a really limited time to record those. Paul's album was the only one where he didn't do a cover of something, or re-record something. It's all Paul. And that album is alot stronger than alot of the stuff he released on the next two Kiss albums.

This will be a great album. Paul is one of the most genuine people who's ever been in the band (although I'd put Eric Carr and Bruce up there, too). He's a good guy, and although he's got all the money he could ever want, he still know's how to rock and roll. Go Paul!

the solo album that paul released in 1978 under kiss is a very good album.got some rocking tunes on there.the stuff they did back then kicked ass.all the kiss members each had an album released the same day.ace had a top twenty hit with back in the new york groove.i have a feeling any song on this new paul release could've went on a new kiss release.don't understand the reason for no new kiss music.been going on nearly ten years since psycho circus.people bash that but i happen to think it has some very good songs.......

I have been waiting for this album for three years. During that time we have seen numerous mentions of release come and go. Let's hope that this one is the real deal. The world deserves and needs to hear this album.
