MEGADETH Mainman DAVE MUSTAINE Headed For Divorce Court?

Based on this "Case Detail" page on the web site of the San Diego Superior Court, it appears that MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine filed for the dissolution of his marriage to Pamela Mustaine on May 26, 2006. Dave Mustaine married Pamela Anne Casselberry in 1991 and together they have one son, Justis, born in 1992, and a daughter, Electra, born in 1998. The family has lived in Arizona, but are believed to currently reside in Southern California. As previously reported, MEGADETH are currently working on their as-yet-untitled Roadrunner Records debut under the watchful eye of Dave Mustaine and co-producer Jeff Balding. The initial studio sessions — held at Sarm Studios, outside of London — were filmed by director Michael Sarna ( ANTHRAX, OBITUARY) and are available at Megadeth.com to fan-club members. MEGADETH's last CD, "The System Has Failed", has sold more than 180,000 copies since its September 2004 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group, who were most recently signed to Sanctuary Records, were joined by bassist James Lomenzo (ex- BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, WHITE LION) in February following the departure of James MacDonough (ex- ICED EARTH).

Know what? A while back, when James MacDonough "left" Megadeth, someone had edited Megadeth's Wikipedia.com page to say that Dave caught James in bed with Pam, and it was the main reason James was fired. I didn't read about it anywhere else, and it was eventually removed from the site, but, now I can't help but wonder if there's more than meets the eye...

I'll take Megadeth over Metallica any day of the week. Megadeth's "The System Has Failed" was better than anything Hetfield & co. have been cranking out over the past decade.
Sorry to hear about Dave's divorce, I'm sure he has reasons.
I do hope he writes & records his best album now. It's prime writing material. Look at U2's "Achtung, Baby!", some of their best work centered around Edge's failing marriage at the time.

15 years of marriage is nothing to sneeze at. I'm sure, though, that this was not something Dave - or anyone else - would want out there. Regardless of the circumstances, or what anybody thinks of either Dave or his wife, it's not our life. There are kids involved, and we should only hope they turn out okay. If you have separated parents, you know it's not easy.

Mustaine damn near invented Metallica. That first album was the platform for their success. He was the star of the show and believe me, you probably would never have heard of Metallica if he hadn't been in the band. Unlike them, Dave never sold out, never stayed too long, and never wrote a genuinely shit album.
Megadeth have more charisma, musicianship and range than Shitallica had even at their peak. All Shitallica has now is a bass player who should've stuck with Ozzy, a frontman at least 10 years past expiry date, a gutless guitarist who is the bitch of the band, and a drummer who should be shot on site. 15 years is a long time to wait for a good album, Mr. Hetfield. Time to retire.
