Guitar Signed By ALICE IN CHAINS, DEFTONES, STONE SOUR To Be Auctioned For Charity - June 16, 2006

A guitar signed at the Download 2006 festival by ALICE IN CHAINS, DEFTONES, Corey Taylor and Jim Root (STONE SOUR, SLIPKNOT), FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND and other artists is being offered by The Big Swap, a fundraising project that supports War Child. However, this is not your typical charity auction. Instead of accepting cash bids like in a regular auction, The Big Swap only accepts stuff. So basically you swap them something you own for something they own (hence the name "The Big Swap"). They hope to eventually swap their way up to an item that can be auctioned off for one million British pounds.

	nobody's signature is worth shit. it's that simple. personally, i'd rather buy something that was pissed on by a famous person. or an instrument that was played by the musician at one point. there's no need to skribble on a perfectly good guitar. better yet, people should sing items with their own blood, and then auction them off. how kick ass would that be? you could own their dna!

	Signed brand new guitars are kinda lame no matter whose signature is on it. BUT if it's going for a good cause, then great - someone will want that and appreciate the intent behind it.
